I can't believe no one has commented on the handshake that shook the world, or at least the prime minister of Japan. Abe's face at the end, priceless. Poor Abe had to school Trump on how to pose for pictures....Cheeto "What are they saying?" Abe "Please, look at me." Trump "Ah." And then Abe has to tell him to look at the camera again. Cheeto has cheez whiz filling his cranial cavity.

Abe's face was one of my all time favorites. The utter disgust and contempt for Trump was wonderful.

Before just now I only saw that clip briefly and I certainly noticed the long handshake. But until now I did not notice that the Prime Minister had to prompt Trump to look at the camera. (The poor Prime Minister must have been dying to get the ordeal over with and getting Trump to look at him would have facilitated that.) On this second viewing, having been warned to look at the Prime Minister's expression (I was looking for disgust), I saw him roll/widen his eyes!

lol, I find Trump randomly lashing out at Cuban hilarious. HOW is that what he thinks is important right now?!? And Cuban's reaction is equally great.

If you have time, I would strongly recommend John Oliver's newest episode (from tonight on HBO). I don't have any links at this point, but I'm sure they'll start popping up.

ETA - How anyone could watch that episode and come away thinking, "yep, we're in good hands with Trump!" I cannot begin to imagine.

Here's a good article about the past "twitter war" between Trump and Cuban. Now, "why should we care about tweets from a few years ago?" you say? Because Crazy Don is STILL TWEETING ABOUT THE SAME FEUDS!! Shocker, I know.

As much as some of you wish that all of his past insane tweets weren't still visible to make him look bad; well, that doesn't change reality. He still looks like an idiot. Especially when he keeps tweeting about the same crap, LOLOL!!

I thought it was a look of relief, much like "Phew, glad he finally let go of my hand as it started cramping up being locked in that weird angle" sort of relief.

.....Speaking of tweets from a lunatic, did anyone see the tweet from Sarah Silverman about swastikas (that were actually construction symbols)?
http://dailycaller.com/2017/02/12/sarah-silverman-mistakes-sidewalk-utility-markings-for-swastikas/

People are so quick to jump to doom-and-gloom conclusions these days because the media has still got everyone whipped up into a frenzy :nono:
I love the Twitter responses to her tweet though - pretty hilarious

OMG those are hilarious. Love the rubber bullet one. I missed that before.

Another kool-aid swilling, fear mongering representative of the people with an IQ low on the scale.

For being brought up Jewish, Sarah certainly needs to go back over her history.

That said, she is no lunatic, she's a comedian, I find her one of the funniest comedians ever.

He "can't wait for the next 9/11".

No wonder Republicans are so defensive. Look at the complete idiots representing their interests! (Of course, rather than recognize the idiocy and vote these people out, they just embrace it..."nothing to see here, everything is *fiiiiiine*).

Yeah, until Sarah goes off on an eleven tweet rant about K Stew and R Pat, she's nowhere near Trump level lunacy :D

I'm very sad that I can't find any other way to link this beyond FB (since not everyone has it), but I just laughed outloud at my desk with this. Someone (who is much smarter and more creative than me), turned Trump's tweets into a 90's/2000's Emo-style song. And it's amazing.

John Oliver did a great bit showing all of Trump's awkward, weird hand shakes on last night's episode, it was so funny.

Lol, I saw that too (but I've also only seen it on FB?).

I just feel so bad for poor PM Trudeau. You know, trying to make conversation with someone so far below him in every measurable way. Must be awkward.

I freaking love Trudeau. He must be dying trying to be nice and civil to that piece of human garbage all day. Poor Trudeau.

I'm so jealous of Canadians for having a competent, warm, intelligent leader who knows how to speak above a 4th grade level. Seriously jealous.

"Ivanka Trump, who appealed to working women throughout her father's presidential campaign, helped secure female executives to participate and set the agenda for the meeting, officials said."

Sounds legit. Why not throw a cabinet position her way, too? I mean, based on her qualifications as daughter of the president who has no political experience, she should clearly be at the table for EVERY meeting with a visiting leader, setting agendas and making policy decisions and whatnot.

I don't know her on a personal level, so I have no idea if she's a lunatic or not. It seemed to fit the topic of this thread so....if the shoe fits. I wasn't comparing her to Trump in any way. I find him abrasive and odd, but I don't know that I'd characterize him as a lunatic either. As far as her comedy, yes, I think she's pretty funny too. Her tweet, however, not so much :nono:

Trudeau, impatient to get the vote started, is seen on video striding over to Opposition whip Gordon Brown. He grabs Brown's arm to direct him to his seat. New Democrat Party (NDP) Parliament member Ruth Ellen Brosseau gets elbowed by Trudeau in the process.

Trudeau has had his missteps and scandals as well.

If Trump had elbowed a woman while in office, you would have had him burned at the stake.

______________________________________________________________________________

As the world reacted to the death of Fidel Castro, Trudeau said in a statement that the Cuban leader had been a "larger than life leader who served his people." He left out any mention of Castro's record on human rights and his history of oppression._____________

Really, Trudeau said that.

____________________________________________________________________________
Even before that ruckus could die down, Trudeau found himself in the middle of yet another scandal. His office confirmed that the Prime Minister spent his winter holiday on the private island of the Aga Khan -- and used the billionaire religious leader's private helicopter to get there. An ethics investigation is underway.

You're joking right?
First, the elbow thing was an accident, and was dealt with LONG ago.
Second, the Trudeaus and Castros were long time family friends. He wasn't just grieving a leader, he was grieving a friend. Plenty of people grieved this loss and didn't think it was a time to cheer for his death.
Third, the only part that is getting investigated is him using a private helicopter to arrive at the island. If he hadve spent tax payer money on getting there, there would have been no issue. Literally, the only issue is him saving the country money.

Please don't use another leader to further your agenda unless you actually know WTF you're talking about. I didn't even vote for this guy and it pisses me off to see people trying to diss him when they obviously only skimmed the headlines.

You mean as opposed to when Trump made that inappropriate comment about women or the retweet posted here from 1993.

Read the article. When Trudeau was called on it, he did a 180 on Castro. So much for a dear friend when your future political career is in jeopardy.

As far as tax payer's money being explained, so did Trump explain what would happen when he used his private locations to entertain dignitary. Did you read it?

My agenda? You mean to show that no is perfect, not even Trudeau as was stated above.

And you want to talk about dissing where not warranted, this whole entire thread would fit that description.
