Saw trumps retweet that trump put up in his twitter tantrum this morning

I was confused.
I thought —— that is odd to show this cartoon saying wolf is stupid enough to think or say there is no evidence? It is nice that trump supporters think wolf will still be on the air then though! Was the cartoon trying to say wolf will be so old in 2038 he no longer understands reality ?
There is no way that even in 2038 wolf would have forgotten that trump was retweeting people constantly in 2014 that supported the idea that he should run for president ( over 200 times that year) . there were russians saying he was going to run in late 2013 too.
so what delusional person would put a cartoon up pretending wolf has not seen any evidence that trump conspired with russians to manipulate the election?

So I clicked on mr ivan trumpovic to see this - “very fine persons” twitter profile - and understood after seeing his banner why trump was reading his accounts and loving his tweet so much - But this cant be a shock after charlottseville. Our racist president is still giving attention and promoting racists and their lies. Esp if it serves his fictional story line.

He needs to tell his buddies to delete the posts from 2014 showing they wanted to support him ( but mueller probably already has them saved)
He also should remember that people can find out
he filed for the "MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN" tradmark on November 19, 2012

It will be good to see what mueller has on him too in the coming months since the public only sees his and his friends tweets for this.

The Pietà. It doesn't really belong in a Russian Orthodox church, but I love those Russian icons. I know an Orthodox Church when I see one.

This campaign by the Russians to elect Trump may have been very successful indeed. They seemed to know the American public and what it liked. It gave them red meat. It gave them a chance to chant "Lock her up!" about Hillary Clinton. Read the article and see what the Russians did. They were very clever, and, as the article said, their operation was big. The article said it was bigger than Jeb Bush's campaign in Florida.

Thanks for the link Deb. I am embarrassed for us (Americans); we're too easy to dupe.

In a different article from WP a russian troll describes work at the "factory." (Italicization is mine.)

How did the trolling work?

You got a list of topics to write about. Every piece of news was taken care of by three trolls each, and the three of us would make up an act. We had to make it look like we were not trolls but real people. One of the three trolls would write something negative about the news, the other two would respond, “You are wrong,” and post links and such. And the negative one would eventually act convinced. Those are the kinds of plays we had to act out.

Do you think it worked?

Who really reads the comments under news articles, anyway? Especially when they were so obviously fake. People working there had no literary interest or abilities. These were mechanical texts. It was a colossal labor of monkeys, it was pointless. For Russian audiences, at least. But for Americans, it appears it did work. They aren’t used to this kind of trickery. They live in a society in which it’s accepted to answer for your words. And here — I was amazed how everyone was absolutely sure of their impunity, even as they wrote incredibly offensive comments. They were sure that with the anonymity of the Internet, no one would find them.

I wonder if these latest indictments by Mueller and what they have come to mean (Trump did not realize the impact they would have on the public at first) could send Trump over the edge. He is, clearly, not very well balanced as it is.... He sounds as if he is frothing at the mouth. This is excerpted from "The New York Times".

"Trump’s Evolution From Relief to Fury Over the Russia Indictment

By Katie Rogers and Maggie Haberman

Feb. 18, 2018
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — President Trump began the weekend believing that something good had just happened to him. An indictment leveled against 13 Russians for interfering with the 2016 election had not accused him or anyone around him of wrongdoing. 'No collusion' was his refrain.

But once ensconced at his Florida estate on Friday, Mr. Trump, facing long hours indoors as he avoided breezy rounds of golf after last week’s school shooting a few miles away, began watching TV.

The president’s mood began to darken as it became clearer to him that some commentators were portraying the indictment as nothing for him to celebrate, according to three people with knowledge of his reaction. Those commentators called it proof that he had not won the election on his own, a particularly galling, if not completely accurate, charge for a president long concerned about his legitimacy.

What followed was a two-day Twitter tirade that was unusually angry and defiant even by Mr. Trump’s standards. In his tweets on Sunday, Mr. Trump sought to shift the blame to Democrats for Russia’s meddling, saying that President Barack Obama had not done enough to stop the interference."

I think the twitter tantrum had to do with him learning via lawyers that gates is flipping. Once gates folds on manafort and with the 2 others who are going to testify, I Imagine knowing mueller has at least Those 3 he was ready to boil over.

For a man who claims he is innocent he sure doesnt behave like a person who has nothing to hide.

With manafort looking at a serious prision term and providing mueller is including state crimes for manafort ( that cant be pardoned )when he finally charges trump , I suspect manafort is going to squeal loud enough to wake trump up from a dead sleep. I also suspect manafort and gates know enough that trump is going to be needing some blood pressure meds and xanax

Russia interfered in the US elections. They interfered on behalf of Trump. Trump spent the weekend blaming President Obama; Secretary Clinton; the FBI; the Democratic Party; Oprah Winfrey and others whom I have probably forgotten, for Mueller's indictments. The only person he did not blame was Vladimir Putin. See the article below (excerpted, but link provided) for a discussion of the dangers this holds for the United States. Why would Trump not mention Putin unless Putin has a hold over him and he is in league with Putin and the Russians?

"Our democracy is in serious danger.

President Trump is either totally compromised by the Russians or is a towering fool, or both, but either way he has shown himself unwilling or unable to defend America against a Russian campaign to divide and undermine our democracy.

That is, either Trump’s real estate empire has taken large amounts of money from shady oligarchs linked to the Kremlin — so much that they literally own him; or rumors are true that he engaged in sexual misbehavior while he was in Moscow running the Miss Universe contest, which Russian intelligence has on tape and he doesn’t want released; or Trump actually believes Russian President Vladimir Putin when he says he is innocent of intervening in our elections — over the explicit findings of Trump’s own C.I.A., N.S.A. and F.B.I. chiefs.

In sum, Trump is either hiding something so threatening to himself, or he’s criminally incompetent to be commander in chief. It is impossible yet to say which explanation for his behavior is true, but it seems highly likely that one of these scenarios explains Trump’s refusal to respond to Russia’s direct attack on our system — a quiescence that is simply unprecedented for any U.S. president in history. Russia is not our friend. It has acted in a hostile manner. And Trump keeps ignoring it all.

Up to now, Trump has been flouting the norms of the presidency. Now Trump’s behavior amounts to a refusal to carry out his oath of office — to protect and defend the Constitution. Here’s an imperfect but close analogy: It’s as if George W. Bush had said after 9/11: 'No big deal. I am going golfing over the weekend in Florida and blogging about how it’s all the Democrats’ fault — no need to hold a National Security Council meeting.'

At a time when the special prosecutor Robert Mueller — leveraging several years of intelligence gathering by the F.B.I., C.I.A. and N.S.A. — has brought indictments against 13 Russian nationals and three Russian groups — all linked in some way to the Kremlin — for interfering with the 2016 U.S. elections, America needs a president who will lead our nation’s defense against this attack on the integrity of our electoral democracy.

What would that look like? He would educate the public on the scale of the problem; he would bring together all the stakeholders — state and local election authorities, the federal government, both parties and all the owners of social networks that the Russians used to carry out their interference — to mount an effective defense; and he would bring together our intelligence and military experts to mount an effective offense against Putin — the best defense of all.

What we have instead is a president vulgarly tweeting that the Russians are 'laughing their asses off in Moscow' for how we’ve been investigating their interventions — and exploiting the terrible school shooting in Florida — and the failure of the F.B.I. to properly forward to its Miami field office a tip on the killer — to throw the entire F.B.I. under the bus and create a new excuse to shut down the Mueller investigation.

Think for a moment how demented was Trump’s Saturday night tweet: 'Very sad that the FBI missed all of the many signals sent out by the Florida school shooter. This is not acceptable. They are spending too much time trying to prove Russian collusion with the Trump campaign — there is no collusion. Get back to the basics and make us all proud!'

To the contrary. Our F.B.I., C.I.A. and N.S.A., working with the special counsel, have done us amazingly proud. They’ve uncovered a Russian program to divide Americans and tilt our last election toward Trump — i.e., to undermine the very core of our democracy — and Trump is telling them to get back to important things like tracking would-be school shooters. Yes, the F.B.I. made a mistake in Florida. But it acted heroically on Russia. What is more basic than protecting American democracy?

It is so obvious what Trump is up to: Again, he is either a total sucker for Putin or, more likely, he is hiding something that he knows the Russians have on him, and he knows that the longer Mueller’s investigation goes on, the more likely he will be to find and expose it.

Donald, if you are so innocent, why do you go to such extraordinary lengths to try to shut Mueller down? And if you are really the president — not still head of the Trump Organization, who moonlights as president, which is how you so often behave — why don’t you actually lead — lead not only a proper cyberdefense of our elections, but also an offense against Putin.

Putin used cyberwarfare to poison American politics, to spread fake news, to help elect a chaos candidate, all in order to weaken our democracy. We should be using our cyber-capabilities to spread the truth about Putin — just how much money he has stolen, just how many lies he has spread, just how many rivals he has jailed or made disappear — all to weaken his autocracy. That is what a real president would be doing right now.

My guess is what Trump is hiding has to do with money. It’s something about his financial ties to business elites tied to the Kremlin. They may own a big stake in him. Who can forget that quote from his son Donald Trump Jr. from back in 2008: 'Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross section of a lot of our assets.' They may own our president."

Hi, Maria-

I am not simply embarrassed, I am downright scared. Look at this article. People were showing up for a rally and its counter in Houston, Texas. and both were organized by the Russians. Isn't there a saying, "Don't mess with Texas?". Somebody never told Vladimir Putin!

An excerpt is below:

"The Heart of Texas group had more success with a Houston rally to 'Stop the Islamization of Texas,' which provoked an angry confrontation in May 2016. United Muslims of America, another Russian creation, called its own rally to “Save Islamic Knowledge” for the same time and place, outside the Islamic Da’wah Center.

A dozen people who turned out for the first event, some carrying rifles, Confederate flags and a banner saying 'White Lives Matter,' faced off across a street with a far larger crowd of counterprotesters. The police kept the crowds apart, and there was no trouble at the event, which was caught on video.

Later, on social media, some puzzled participants complained that no one from Heart of Texas, which had about 250,000 likes on Facebook, had shown up for the group’s own rally.

But the online pitches reached a big audience. In written answers to questions from the Senate Intelligence Committee, Facebook said some 338,300 people saw the announcements of rallies promoted by the bogus pages — and 62,500 said they planned to attend one. Those numbers are modest against the background of the entire presidential campaign, but they show that the Russians were able not just to attract Americans to their ersatz groups but actually manipulate their actions.

'The fact that they got people to show up at real-world events is impressive,' said Renee DiResta, the head of policy at Data for Democracy, a nonprofit that has studied the Russian activity. 'What we have is an engine for reaching people and growing an audience, which is fantastic. But this shows that it can be used for very shady purposes.'”

This just in:

WASHINGTON — The special counsel investigating Russia’s interference in the 2016 election has charged an attorney with making a false statement when he was interviewed about work he did with a Trump campaign adviser six years ago.

The attorney, Alex van der Zwaan, who worked in London for the prominent New York law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, was expected to appear in court on Tuesday. He is accused of making false statements regarding communications he had with Rick Gates, the former Trump campaign aide, about work done in Ukraine, according to a document filed in court on Friday.

See article in "The New York Times" for more.

In case anyone was getting bored by the news (Trump calling Attorney General Jeff Sessions "Mr. Magoo" and Hope Hicks leaving the White House, Trump trying to deflect attention from his gaffe at calling for gun control by calling for tariffs he has no intention of carrying out-at the expense of having the stock market plummet, etc.)....

Here is a new bit of potential juicy scandal. Is it true? Could the escort jailed in Thailand have information from Oleg Deripaska on Trump and the 2016 elections in the United States? Here is an excerpt.

"She claims to have detailed information about connections between Russian officials, Mr. Manafort and Mr. Trump — if only someone could get her out of Thai detention.

Her assertion of inside knowledge might be easily dismissed but for a 25-minute video investigation posted last month on YouTube by the Russian opposition figure Aleksei A. Navalny, which relies heavily on videos and photos from Ms. Vashukevich.

In particular, it includes video footage from 2016 of Mr. Deripaska sailing on his yacht with Mr. Prikhodko and a description of their meeting in a book by Ms. Vashukevich.

Mr. Navalny asserted that the yacht trip was a bribe from Mr. Deripaska to Mr. Prikhodko and said that Ms. Vashukevich was one of 'several' prostitutes aboard the vessel. In one part of the video, the two men can be heard discussing Russian-American relations.

The video has had more than 6.2 million views despite efforts in Russia to block it."

Imagine what the left wing media would be saying if our economy was this strong under Obama.

Stock market hitting an all time high.
AA and Hispanics unemployment hitting all time lows.
Americans receiving a bigger paycheck each month.
American manufactures are moving back to the US.

Too bad the Obama admin. had no idea on how to run the economy.

Here is an update on the above story. The (very responsible) reporter writing the story, Michelle Goldberg, does not say that the escort's allegations have been proven. She did see fit to raise them, however. Under the (truly weird) circumstance in which we live, I laud her for doing so. Without a free press raising questions too many nefarious things go without review. In fact, the only thing that has been well investigated to date (although I have faith in Robert Mueller) seems to have been Hillary Clinton's e-mails.

"Playing Trump on ‘S.N.L.,’ Baldwin Takes On White House Turmoil

By DAVE ITZKOFF MARCH 4, 2018

Alec Baldwin, center, reprised his role as President Trump on 'S.N.L.' Referring to the departure of Hope Hicks, the White House aide, he said, 'Jared Kushner’s basically the hottest chick left in the place.' Credit NBC
If 'Saturday Night Live' suffered any loss of visibility during its monthlong Winter Olympics hiatus, the show got a most unusual promotional boost on Friday. That’s when President Trump, a frequent target of 'S.N.L.' and a once-vocal critic of the show, broke a monthslong silence and went on Twitter to vent his spleen at Alec Baldwin, his 'S.N.L.' impersonator.

A complete rundown of the Trump-Baldwin spat can be found here, but to quickly summarize, Baldwin in an interview on Thursday said that every time he plays the president now, 'it’s like agony,' adding that 'we have to get rid of him.' In response, Trump tweeted that Baldwin’s 'dying mediocre career was saved by his terrible impersonation of me' and that it was 'agony for those who were forced to watch.' Baldwin then followed with a series of tweets in which he mused, among other things, that he’d like to stick around in the role long enough 'for the impeachment hearings, the resignation speech, the farewell helicopter ride' to Mar-a-Lago.

(snip)

In what purported to be another presidential listening session on gun control, Baldwin (as Trump) led off by addressing the audience: 'Tonight I am here to bring you a message of healing and a show of unity,' he said as he looked at his notes. 'I hear you and I care. Rent "Lego Ninjago Movie." Sorry, Eric scribbled some notes on there, too.'

After contemplating the idea of taking guns away from all Americans — 'even whites'— Baldwin went on to address the latest personnel losses in the Trump administration. Paying homage to Hope Hicks, the outgoing White House communications director, Baldwin said: 'She’s like a daughter to me. So smart, so hot. You know, I hate seeing her go but I love watching her walk away.'

In her absence, Baldwin said, 'Jared Kushner’s basically the hottest chick left in the place.' And when he sought assurance from Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster, the national security adviser, that he was still on board, the camera cut to an empty chair with McMaster’s name in front of it.

Turning to the subject of tariffs, Baldwin said: 'Both sides hated it. I don’t care. I said I was going to run this country like a business. That business is a Waffle House at 2 a.m. Crazies everywhere, staff walking out in the middle of their shift, managers taking money out of the cash register to pay off the Russian mob.'”

What's the question?

Let me tell you a true story DF so you can attempt a little empathy. About 2 weeks ago on our local news we got told if North Korean launches a missile at where I live in Australia, we would get approx. 15 mins notice before it hit us.
arkieb
Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but NK ain't gonna launch any missiles at Australia after all. From now on you and your family can sleep well at night. I wish the left would give Trump credit where credit is due.

Where is it due? Trump got Kim all riled up so that he (being a homicidal madman) started shooting rockets over Japan. Then Trump decided that Kim was his best friend and started to paw him the way he did Macron. If he hadn't started the "hell and fury" baloney, threatening Kim, Kim wouldn't have felt he had to shoot off the rockets in the first place. Is it really necessary to climb into bed with Kim now to undo that? Does Trump know nothing between violating others and touching them inappropriately?

Australia will not be safe unless someone moves it out of the range of Kim's nukes.

I dont think australia is in any danger. Kim got trump to promise that trump wont attack him. Kim doesnt have to verify it with the united nations at all AND kim gets to keep developing his weapons once he builds a new site as long as no one finds out. No international inspections nothing! The old site was destroyed anyway, so kim gets the US to promise his security in the mean time. Not even a trust but verify. Just a “ that homicidal dictator is a good guy lets take him at his word” I bet Iran will want that same deal!

Gotta give credit where it is due though, Putin did a great job. Putin’s country likely taught the dictator how to build weapons to begin with, ( the technology mirrored russias) then got the US to agree not to completely verify anything, as long as they promise they will not build any more while guaranteeing the dictator wont be removed from power! And as a bonus trump gets to pretend he had some hand in the “victory” so his ego is stroked and he can run around sqwaking “ look at me “fixing” the crisis I made.”
Kudos to Putin. I am sure getting trump not to screw up even a fake victory was hard enough. Esp with idiot rudy on board a week ago running his mouth . WTG putin.
