TWENTY (20) days until I must have a stone in my pocket. I have "selected" a stone that yields:
White Light Return: Very High
Colored Light Return: Very High
Scintillation: High - Very High
Generic H&A Cut
.95 Ct, G / VS2
diam 6.35 x 3.93
Crown angle 34.6
Crown height 15%
Pav angle 40.9
Pav Depth: 43.1%
culet .5%
Table 55.9%
t. depth 61.6
med girdle
ISee2: 9.7
But, what is this I keep hearing about those few stones not conforming to H&A per say, but still yielding excellent white and colored light return, and scintillation? I really need to make a decision quickly. I want bragging rights for the best price to performance ratio hence the spread ( so H&A is an not necessarily required
. I believe this is the only other variable I must investigate before I make make a purchase. I''m leaning to more brilliance than fire.

I skimmed this - but you know that it is possible the generic GIA was a unusual proportioned ideal (of the sort that I have defined - but then I am commonly thought to be quite mad
)
EG could have been 30 degree crown and 41.5 degree pavilion.
A very bright stone.
AND
You may have had a 35C 41.2P HOF that would not cut it as my ideal
