I am trying to finalize my choice of wedding bands and have narrowed it down to these two materials. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or opinions as to why one may be preferred over the other. Thanks.

Tungsten can be found in Black finish, grey finish and white finish. It can be broken off if for some reason you need to get the ring off.

Cobalt is a nice white metal, however if you need to get the ring off you would need a diamond saw which alot of places don't have.

Both are scratch resistant.

I just wanted to say that my son-in-law has tungsten and it looks brand new even though it is almost two years old! His came from Tungsten World.

My husband has a tungsten ring and it still looks brand new after 7.5 years. He's a mechanic and wears it to work everyday, so that's saying something!

Another vote for Tungsten! My DH has had his ring for 5 years and it still looks fantastic- surprising since he is military and hard on his WB.

Also, another poster already said it-sort of- but Tungsten isn't flexible and it is marketed as unbreakable. So in the very rare event that you break your finger the ring will have to be cut off or lasered off...something like that. The sales person was explaining it to us and I thought the whole thing was a little crazy.
