A little late to this thread, but as far as clarity goes I like at least one identifying inclusion and normally go for a VVS2 to VS1.

I imagine to enable easier identification of the stone in a 'worst case scenario' featuring theft or loss.May i ask why? Because of a price drop?
East coastWhere are you in Canada?? I can refer you to wholesaler in Vancouver
Congrats on your first diamond purchase!! Really hoping it turns out beautiful and sparkly in real life![]()
It is engraved with the GIA #It should be engraved with a serial number, so I think that's a moot point. But of course, it's harder to read the engraving than it is to see some inclusions.

You can't PM on PS. A lot of folks post a message on the LoupeTroop with an email and their PS name to get in direct contact.
Good to hear you're happy with your purchaseI lost track - which stone did you buy?
It is true that you need certain lighting conditions to maximise fire - the flat lighting that you can get indoors on overcast days really does very little to show off a diamond, other than show if it's still looking white from edge to edge.
Do you have spotlights / downlighters in the house? Multiple small light sources give the best conditions for producing fire, as I understand it. Certainly, my good lady's ring looks best in such lights!
Post up some pictures perhapsOr, even better, a couple of videos in different lights!
