I have narrowed my choices down to a 1.238 H VS2 or a 1.117 G VS2. My main concern is any noticeable color difference btw a G and a H. Traci told me the G has a crystal inclusion whereas the H doesn''t which makes me lean towards the H but I want a good color as well. Thanks for any input in advance.

How are you going to set it?

I wouldn't be worried about seeing colour in an H of that size, but then, I wouldn't be worried about an I either, so that's not saying much.

If you or your intended is very colour-sensitive (and you don't like seeing tint in a diamond!) and you're planning on a tension setting or something that will expose a good amount of the pavilion, go for the G. If it'll be bezelled, go for the H. I doubt that you'd see a difference in tint face-up in such well-cut brilliant stones.

once set, I doubt you will see any difference in color, however inclusions, is a different story

I think the H would look lovely in that setting

Don't worry about the HCA at this point. HCA estimates performance. You have images (IS/ASET) that show actual performance, and this is an excellently performing stone

Gorgeous stones. I personally would like to say, "One and a quarter carats".

You could also ask WF to compare the 2 stones side-by-side and get their opinion on how much of a color difference between the 2.

I like the look of the H, it is more mind clean. But really, the G is a VS2. If you cannot cannot cannot see the inclusions with the naked eye, then I personally would go for the higher color.

Yes ,very good point.

Thanks for all the advice, I asked Traci at WF to check the colors side by side and she said she couldn''t tell a difference, and that if she told me to buy the G over the H due to a color difference she would be "blowing smoke". I put a hold on the H to make sure the Sierra is the setting of choice. Thanks again!!

Yes, I think the difference would be mostly a mind thing, not a real difference.

I love the Sierra, it is a gorgeous settin!

Ryan, I have a 1.52 H ACA - I cannot see any color in it at all and I am somewhat color sensitive.

I would get the H bc its bigger and therefore I think it would look better in a double prong setting but really, im sure you cant tell a diff. by size bc they are soo close :), oh and I love H color so yes, im biased! :)

Can't wait to see it in person! it looks great...

Beautiful!! Can''t wait for handshots
