Any opinions on this setting by Brian Gavin? The instructions I have are to get her a yellow gold solitaire. It's the first three on this site.

There was a gal that just got hers from WF that is yellow gold.. I'll be back in a minute once I find her thread.

ETA; here you go, maybe this will help you.. https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/wf-18k-yellow-gold-legato-sleek-lines-setting.115055/

Brian is an awesome to work with, his craftmanship is excellent, I just got some bezel studs done by him,,, gorgeous.

Thanks for the link. It''s basically the same thing except for the head. I guess I''m just asking what people think of the head then.

It''s subtle, but I do think the shank is slightly more rounded than the Legato shank, which I think makes the setting look more fluid. Plus I like the V bar and the way it looks from all sides.

The BG gets my vote. They are both beautiful but I agree with gypsy.

I actually prefer the head to the Legato Head. Which is saying a lot because the legato is lovely.

I feel the exact same way!

I really like the way the "V" between the prongs creates a heart shape with the bottom half of the prongs and base of the setting. I also think the "V" more complements the overall shape of the diamond.

Hey everyone! I''m bumping to ask a question about the Truth setting - does anyone know how much it is in gold? I''ve been bugging Lesley so much lately that I kind of feel bad- so I''m wondering if anyone knows off the top of their head and can answer.

Thanks!

It''s $1150 in platinum (I''m considering getting it), so a few hundred dollars less than that? (My diamond search)

Lesley says this setting has really blown up! I''m glad to hear that they''re having such success--particularly since I''ll likely be a loyal customer of theirs

Thanks Tree Sees! Good to know. I love love that setting....and if my cushion search works out, I''m thinking that might be a great, simple setting for it...

I can''t wait to see yours if you do end up getting the Truth!

That''s gorgeous Cheradrian. Is it yours?

Are the prongs different on that one? Heart prongs?

I can''t wait either!

I''ll definitely let this forum know what I decide. Lesley and Brian are already a true pleasure to work with.

Wow, thanks for the phenomenal photos, cheradrian! Just to be sure, that is what they call the "sleek line solitaire with truth head," right?

Just to clarify, for those who are following this thread--

Lesley tells me that the images cheradrian has shared are of a modified truth setting--cheradrian asked that the prongs be fashioned to look like hearts from a top view, whereas ordinarily they are simple claws. Great idea and beautiful execution! Normally I tend toward minimalism, but having seen these two options (which cost the same), I feel I have a tough choice to make. I''ll post the results under the separate "Proposal Alert" thread I started.

Thanks! It is mine to give to her! And you have a good eye, it is a prong modification for heart-tips.

Exactly! (except for the prong-mod, but it sounds like you already talked to Lesley and know that)

- I can''t take the credit, I got the idea for the heart-tips from another PSer. And you''re right, excellent execution on the part of Brian, Lesley, and the whole BGD team!

- I am also a minimalist, but I found the heart-tips to be very subtle. Consider the four pictures I posted, the heart-tips don''t jump out at you in the first three pictures and are only noticeable in the last picture. But in all honesty, I hope you go with the original claws (so I know the ring I had made is truly one-of-a-kind,

j/k).

Good luck on your search and I know from experience that you are in great hands with BGD!

Cheer!

Lol, I did decide to go with the straight prongs, cheradrian, so no worries!

I agree, the hearts are so delicate and subtle; I love the ring equally both ways. I also really like the stone you placed inside the shank. But I ended up deciding to go with the ring as is and leave extra flourishes for the wedding band.

Ditto on the unconditional praise of Brian Gavin Diamonds!
