Everyone should know that adequate vitamin D is beneficial if you are facing COVID19, tons of international research studies lately on this.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has passed on "New Zealand's best wishes" to Covid-19 infected US President Donald Trump and his wife, Melania.


"We have seen now several world leaders who are being affected by Covid-19 and I know that I stand with others in wishing all the best," she told reporters this afternoon.

"This is, obviously, a virus that has had a devastating impact."

She has asked her officials at the New Zealand Embassy in the US to pass along a message, wishing "the President a speedy recovery on behalf of New Zealand".

When UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson had Covid-19, Ardern sent him a text wishing him the best.

Asked if she had done the same for Trump, she said she had not as she does not have his personal phone number.

"Instead, we have used our official channels to pass on that message."

She plans to convey that sentiment in person, when she gets a chance.

Ardern said that New Zealand would wish anyone experiencing Covid-19 a speedy recovery – "and our very best wishes".

The insane part to me is how the White House now has more covid positive individuals than the entire country of New Zealand. (way to go, New Zealand!)

A sobering reminder that the virus is not a sentient being, and no one is safe by virtue of position or money. Masks, social distancing, and taking care of one’s health are vital. Refusing to adhere to basic protocols is rampant foolishness, holding a non socially distant party is reprehensibly irresponsible.

President Trump was transferred Friday afternoon to Walter Reed Medical Center, where the White House said he will be monitored for the next few days for COVID-19 symptoms. It's the most serious health crisis a president has faced since President Ronald Reagan was shot in 1981.

The White House physician said Friday night that Mr. Trump has begun Remdesivir therapy, and has taken one dose of the antiviral. The physician added that Mr. Trump is "doing very well" and has not required supplemental oxygen.

White House spokesperson Kayleigh McEnany said earlier Friday that Mr. Trump has "mild symptoms," and was being transferred to Walter Reed Medical Center "out of an abundance of caution and at the recommendation of his physician and medical experts."

White House sources said Mr. Trump was suffering from a low-grade fever. The White House physician said earlier he was feeling "fatigued" and would be taking an antibody cocktail.

Late Friday, former Trump senior adviser Kellyanne Conyway said she had tested positivefor the coronavirus. Conway said she too had "mild" symptoms, which she said included a "light cough."

Conway was at the Rose Garden event on September 26 when Mr. Trump announced he would be nominating Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court. Two Republican senators at that event, Thom Tillis and Mike Lee, have tested positive as well.

Vice President Mike Pence, who would take over for Mr. Trump if he were incapacitated or deemed unable to carry out the duties of the presidency, said Friday he had tested negative for the virus.

Democratic nominee Joe Biden, who was with Mr. Trump at the debate on Tuesday, said Friday he and his wife had tested negative for the coronavirus. The Biden campaign halted its negative ads on Friday, and Biden tweeted a call for unity."

  • Fauci said: “If you are deficient in vitamin D, that does have an impact on your susceptibility to infection. So I would not mind recommending, and I do it myself taking vitamin D supplements.”
Fauci said that the aforementioned supplements mostly do “nothing” to stop the novel coronavirus. Vitamin D, though, might have an impact.

  • The study said 22% of patients with vitamin D deficiency were infected by COVID-19.
  • Sixty percent of patients who had adequate levels of vitamin D, only 12% tested positive for COVID-19.
  • “In this single-center, retrospective cohort study, likely deficient vitamin D status was associated with increased COVID-19 risk, a finding that suggests that randomized trials may be needed to determine whether vitamin D affects COVID-19 risk,” the study concludes."

I decided to look up Dr Sean Conley, who is his doctor. I must say I’m intrigued by US medical training. Dr Conley is an ER physician who is also an osteopath. In the U.K. the President would be looked after by a specialist respiratory physician plus possibly an intensive care doctor. (As was our PM, Boris).

I believe he has a medical team taking care of him and they range in specialties including a pulmonologist.

He had better be doing well. He has the absolute best care anyone could possibly have for this disease. I expect him to recover in time for the next debate.

Meh. Some people will always try to find vile, revolting and despicable ways to turn their money into even more money. Some do it with betting, others with flouting tax laws...it happens! Focus on the bright side...your beloved president is in all likelihood going to live!

And isn't that the sickening part? The hundreds of thousands of people he cheated out of the gift of breath, knowing that in their position his odds would be dramatically different.
