Cool stone Mochi. It is very included, and very "organic" looking, so in this case, I''m not sure a recut would be worth it. Enjoy it for what it is. I think it would look great as a pendant.
Very cool Mochi...pink and blue bi-color is very rare in tourmaline...I love your stone..it''s hard to find a clean one because where the color split is is isually where changes took place in the gas/water vapor phase of the crystal formation and new minerals were introduced which in turn cause fracturing or cracking..very nice glad you grabbed it up
That’s a pretty looking tri-coloured tourmaline. Looking at the location of the inclusion(s), I would leave it alone. There’s too much risk in trying to recut it.
Oooh! I love this stone--very unique. It looks like someone painted it with watercolors. I once saw a teal blue and green bicolored tourmaline that I really, really want.
Mochi, another gorgeous stone to add to your lovely collection. Like others have suggested, I would leave well alone because looking at that inclusion in your first photo, it appears to go almost from one side to the other of the stone? If it does, I''d suggest a very very protective setting (and go with TL''s suggestion of a pendant).
Hey Mochi, funny I would never have put you down as a bi-coloured tourmaline kinda gal! But then nor me either. I must go and look out those bi-coloured tourmaline earrings I''ve had for eons!
It''s a pretty stone despite the inclusions. Will you set it or is it one for the collection box?
Not sure what my plane is with this particular stone. Most likely a pendant but I''m a bit scared about how to go about setting it. It does seem so delicate. I wonder if bezeling would work?
