To Look or Not to Look ;)

Ok, so I am sitting in my kitchen eating peanut butter right from the jar and waiting for my diamond to be delivered from GOG...my BF had to go into work so he couldn''t be here to sign...so, do I open the package or wait for him? Part of me knows I need to wait but it''s not like I haven''t seen it already (I have personally driven John & his entire family at GOG crazy over the last few weeks over this stone)

I just don''t want to ruin it for my BF...I have sorta "taken over" the whole ring process and he has let me (which is why we make a good couple to begin with hehe) but the anticipation is KILLING me!

I probably answered my own question but this waiting is getting to me!

Oh, I can just imagine myself in your position and doing everything in my power to wait, but I''m honestly not sure I will be able to!

Once it arrives, is there any way you can run out to do some errands to kill time so you are sitting there staring at the box for ages?

I feel your pain. I am close to being in the same spot as you are.

My bf and I selected the stone and the setting a week and a half ago. He called the jeweler yesterday for a ETA and found out that the mounting was in and the pave stones arrive today. The jeweler will be working on putting it all together in the coming week...the ring will be done by the end of next week and it will need to be shipped to us.

I haven''t been able to sit still since we picked everything out! I know it''s in my bf''s capable hands now...but I am so excited and impatient for the proposal and the ring!!

I can barely imagine getting through the next week (or likely more) until he proposes!

I was thinking the same thing, I planned to worki from home for the morning so I might just sign, hide the box and run out the door to office..I know myself and I will not be able to sit in this house knowing it''s finally here and not take a look....self control is not one of my strong suits--- hence the nervous peanut butter eating this early in the am!

Ok, one chocolate granola bar later and I am sitting safely in my office and away from the temptation! I called my BF at work and told him-- he was so surprised I didn''t open it, he seemed happy that I waited for him so I feel good about resisting... I had to confess that I needed some extra PS-support though

Thanks guys-I think opening it together is a memory I want to have and is worth the TORTURE right now

I'm so glad you waited! You BF deserves to see the look on your face when you open it... in fact he should get down on one knee and present the ring, right?

I got my new ring last night and I patiently waited to open it with DH, I'm glad I did because it meant a lot ot him to see me happy.

Do not have it yet!!! I was allowed to look (it''s beautiful and sparkly and everything I wanted it to be) but it has to be set and sized still

It''s making me crazy (ok crazier!)

All that excitement was over getting the loose stone, can you imagine what I will be like once I get the entire ring?
