I have had this watch for a few days and I find that I don't feel comfortable wearing it everyday. I realize that not every watch needs to be everyday wear, but I hate to feel like a hoarder. I can still return it, but bc I got a great deal on it bc it is estate, I don't want to regret it. I love how luxurious it feels but at the same time, that is why I don't feel it is everyday wear. I don't really go out, so to say it is for special occasions would mean I would wear it 4 times a year. I already own everyday Rolex and Tag and a Michelle diamond deco. Maybe I'm just not good at this collecting thing. What would you do?

I would update my whole wardrobe so it could be an everyday watch :Up_to_something:

I'd wear that puppy everyday proudly. Even on days when my hair is up in a (not entirely clean) pony, and I am wearing a hoodie and Uggs.

Thanks for the enabling, Gypsy and Dreamer!

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by hoarder? Meaning that you have 3 watches already? I'm not sure that makes you a hoarder. I think that it's fine to have watches of different styles, so if you already own a style similar to the Chopard, then I'd say pass. I love Chopard, but I must admit, I'm not a huge fan of the band on that particular watch.

As a watch hoarder I say keep. It's visually interesting and I would wear it any time.

I guess that since I am not a collector, owning 4 watches, and a few that I wear rarely, makes me feel like I am just hoarding these. I even had issues with owning too many rings, and pendants, but I came to terms with that one.

I think the watch is beautiful, but if you feel that it's too much for everyday wear, I say return it. Getting a great deal on it doesn't mean you have to keep it.

Thanks for your input, but it's not the deal that is confusing me. I honestly appreciate the details...it is just so pretty to look at! The sapphire lugs and dial...and the double halo diamonds match my ring! I just don't like feeling like a hoarder.

As the watch expert, what is your honest opinion on this watch?

Is there something that you can buy that you'd enjoy more than this watch? If so, then I'd return the watch and get something else. If you think that you're going to regret not keeping it, then you should keep it!

I don't know much about lady's watches. This is call the "happy diamond" watch, correct?.. is it a quartz or a mechanical watch?... how much is the watch?

If you love it, keep it! And if you want to wear it every day, do it. I have a Rolex on my wrist 24/7/365.

I often wear my track suit, uggs, and about 8-9 carats of diamonds. So this watch would fit right in! I am more than happy for you to donate it to my cause. All I have is a boring old Chanel J12 ;)

I don't think you should keep it - you should send it to me!
It's gorgeous!

I agree that it's a bit dressy for everyday plus you already have 3 nice watches. I voted to return.

You guys are too funny!
I paid $2270 for this watch and it comes with a one year warranty from my jeweler. The diamond bezel is after market, but it is exquisite. This style watch, without the diamond bezel, preowned on ebay, goes for that price. So I guess I got the diamond bezel for free!

If you love it (and it sounds like you do) I vote to keep it. It seems like you got a good (at least decent) deal for it and it looks beautiful on your wrist. I wear my diamond rolex with casual clothes all the time. I mean, we wear our diamonds with sundresses/jeans so why would a diamond watch be very different? It isn't to me at least so that's why I voted to keep.

I voted to return so that you can spend the money on other jewelry that you'll wear. A deal is only a deal if you utilise it, else it's just a white elephant.

If you got a deal and don't want it, maybe you can put it up on pre-loved for someone else to enjoy it.

I love the watch and have the same one but without all the diamonds in the bezel. I have been thinking about getting all the bezel diamonds put in!

I think it is a very pretty watch and you did get it for a good price. But it would not be an everyday watch for me, either. I do not wear my diamond bezel Ebel watch unless I am dressed in more than my normal jeans and casual shirt! My Cartier Tank Francaise with no diamonds is my everyday watch. It sounds like your Michelle watch already serves the purpose of a more dressy diamond watch, so I am not sure I would add another. I am more likely to add another everyday watch that does not have so many diamonds.

Charmypoo, I wouldn't mind putting it up for sale, but that would invalidate the warranty, so that would be no bueno for the new owner. I'm glad to hear that you love this watch. Do you find that it is too delicate for everyday wear? In terms of the bracelet, does it seem like you have to be too careful so that it doesn't get too scratched?

Diamondseeker: I have been wearing the watch these past few days, and am really enjoying the extra bling! I think it is something that I can get used to! The Michele does serve the purpose, but it is quite heavy. Oh, and my teen, who doesn't appreciate jewelry, already asked if she could occasionally wear the Michele! I am so excited that she is beginning to share my love of these pretties!

Thecat: I think that I'm finding it easier to wear! I have owned a few diamond tennis bracelets, but have always been reluctant to wear them because I fear that I might lose them. In fact, I recently sold both, and used the money from those to pay for this watch. I think this watch has the added bonus that I can have diamonds, a watch, and sapphires...oh, those sapphires!

Missy: Thank you! I think you are right! I'm leaning towards keeping it!

That is great that your daughter is showing interest in your watches! I justify having multiples of things since I have two girls and the older married daughter has 2 yr old and newborn daughters!

I think the watch is great, so if you think you'll wear it, definitely keep it! I think you got a nice deal and you can always resell later if you find you don't wear it enough.
