hi, i would not recommend 'very strong' fluor.
this stone is most probably going to look bad (oily indeed, mr giangi) in the sunlight, but it is going to look great in nightclubs!
good luck, robbe----------------
This is absolutely untrue. I only buy stones with bl. fluor. I have viewed many & the oily effect is rare in the medium to strong blue fluor stones. In fact, the effect will counter act much of the yellow body hue in a J stone face up.
That said, in the rare instance that the stone is 'overblue' make sure you examine in sunlight.

I have to side with fire & ice on this one. I can't believe how many people are actually led astray by misinformation regarding fluorescence by certain "diamond experts". We see stones often with medium & strong blue where it did not affect transparency, did not look oily, milky or any of the above. If a diamond has all the characteristics you're looking for and it does have fluorescence it doesn't hurt to ask if it affects transparency etc. but it should not be automatically rejected because of it. Only in some cases of strong but mostly in "very strong" will it have the "overblue" or "oily" look. I will not purchase for inventory if it affects transparency or beauty.
