They will let you write down the specs (angles and measurements), but they won't let you leave with any reports or anything. But if you found one that scored well on the HCA that would be my pick. I would have gone above 1ct personally, not below.

In my two e-ring-experience with Tiff (org purchase and 5 yrs upgrade). The sales was very quick to provide me all the specs via email or fax report. After my HCA score cut, she get 2~3 rings to the store for in person comparison.
I know the price is massively jacked up, but my sales was very profession with my filtering process.
And I am very happy in the end.

You have had one of the rare positive sales associate experiences with that then and it's awesome you're happy. They're very tightlipped about that ordinarily, using the "it's a Tiffany Diamond, it's perfect" nonsense, and making you wait three weeks to see any reports or data on the one you bought to be sent.

I guess buying from the same girl over these years does help .
Tiffany tighten up the ring transfer between stores last year.
She did go all the way to get what I wanted on the 2nd ering.
I even got a nice extra from her.
