Very very nice. I really like the setting!

Thank you, I''m was a little worried about posting it amongst all these beautiful and elaborate settings.
I actually prefer the simpler straightforward settings. It''s all a matter of personal taste, and what you think looks good on your hand. My hand would look really silly with an elaborate 3/4 sided pave setting. BUT some people can carry it off -- it looks right on them.

Obviously the setting you picked looks right on your hand. Enjoy!!!

The ring you''ve chosen is very elegant and beautiful!

And I know that diamond size is absolutely personal preference, but I just want to warn you--if you spend any significant amount of time on PS, you might start to experience Diamond Shrinkage Syndrome (DSS). The large, beautiful diamond rings all over this site have been known to convert one or two ladies into lovers of big rocks! (Or "door knobs" as some would say, ahem, DKS!)

Very true stone hunter!! I do love my diamond and I do think the setting suits my tiny tiny hands. I can admire more elaborate settings from afar but I know they would look very silly on me too. :)

Thanks Haven, I know what you mean about DSS. I could never upgrade as such and get rid of this diamond and it has sentimental value to me, but the more I look at PS (especially the sticky E-ring thread), the more I wish I could pull off one of those 5ct cushions...hehe. I would love to build a collection of lovely diamonds as I can afford to though. At least now I feel as though I can be as informed as I can about the market.
