Three stone ring, rounds, picking size! Need pics!

My ring size is 4.5

I tried on a three stone ring--all rounds--center stone 1 carat--side stones .5 carats. It looked good!

Is that the classic ratio?

It looked pretty big on my hand, but I might have option of going up to 1.3 carat center with .65 carat side stones.

Should I do it? Or is too much ring ever a problem?

I am also unsure about the setting. Any suggestions?

Please let me see pics of your three stone rings (all rounds)!!!

Xoxoxo

Hi-

I have an ering with similar proportions- .78ct and .41/.42 sides. I know a lot of people don't care for that look; they prefer the center stone to stand out.

LS they look lovely together! I'm not one for pave in general but yours, MGRs, and Farleys look fantastic - the heights off the finger of both bands match, and I'm a bit neurotic about that!

In response to your other thread bonbon --

Farleysmom has a few bands and has said that she wears them often with her three-stone :sun:

I have attached a photo showing size difference in eternity ring sizes. From left to right -- 5pt, 7.5pt 20pt 32pt It's not a great picture but I think you can still see the difference in stone size.

I wear my eternity rings 24/7 and alternate wearing my 3-stone ring with either my eternity ring (20 pointers) or 5-stone band with 32 pointers. I wear eternity rings on both left and right hand and don't have a problem with daily wear. However, I did change the settings to 4-prong instead of shared prong and have found it made a big difference in durability for daily wear. I think it's all about personal preference.

I used to wear a plain band with my threestone

Mixing metals - love the idea! Though I'd definitely also get a "staple" matching band in the same metal. I'm having two bands made, 14k rose gold and 22k yellow gold, to wear with my new 18k white gold five-stone

I personally would stick with .5 ct. sides all the way up to a center stone of 1.5 cts. With a 1.3 center, I might go to .4 sides, and with a 1 ct. center, probably .30-.35 sides.

I tend to prefer the center to stand out but yours is gorgeous!
