Does anyone have any pics of their three-stone engagement ring with an eternity band? I''m having a bit of a dilemma right now about whether to go with a RB solitaire or RB three-stone thing. When it is just the ring alone, I tend to prefer three stones. But I really love how RB solitaires look with eternity bands. And I really, really love eternity bands in general-- that''s probably my highest priority overall, getting a ring that will go with a blingy band.

I don''t see many eternity bands paired with three stone rings. Would that be too over the top or would it look okay?

A lot of the Tacori and Scott Kay rings have 3 stone rings with matching bands. I love the look, personally. I plan on wearing a band with my ring, which will have a halo center stone with 2 sidestones. I don't think it's too much, but many here prefer the look of a solitaire... it's just personal preference.. .go with the look you love.

Are you REALLY asking if anything is too much?

I have a friend with a three-stone e-ring (2 ct RB center, .75 ct each side) and she has it paired with TWO eternity bands. It looks gorgeous. Have you tried this combination in in real life? I''d try on both of the options you''re thinking of and see which looks better on your hand. And then post pictures, please!

You''re going to find all kinds of opinions on this! I don''t really consider the Scott Kay rings true three stone rings as the side stones are usually small accent stones. But with true three stone rings with one large center stone and two good sized side stones, I do feel that an eternity ring with that is way over the top for me, personally. I just think simple elegance is more appealing. I would consider a thin pave band like the Tiffany Legacy band with a three stone ring, though.

I wear a 3 stone ring w/ a 5 stone anniv band some days and a solitaire with a plain wedding band other days. I can''t imagine a 3 stone ring w/ an eternity band being too much...I think it''d look great!

Oh yeah, that''s right... I was so used to describing what I wanted at stores by saying "I want 3 stones but not a 3-stone ring" that I have 2 sidestones in my mind as a 3-stone.

But, yeah... still don''t think a 3-stone with eternity band would be too much... but still, it''s totally personal.

Here''s a thread with some pictures of 3-stone rings and diamond bands.

Try entering three stone rings and wedding ring sets into the search feature. You should find plenty of pictures to entertain your for hours.

Here is mine, but mine is a curved band. I don''t like eternities because over the years my ring size has gone up and down. With a non eternity, you can size it and not have to worry about spending a fortune on a ring you can''t wear. If you know you don''t have a problem with finger swelling/changing size, then an eternity should be fine.

Thanks! All of the rings in this thread are stunning. And I will check out that other thread that was posted about in here.

I suppose I was just a bit hesitant as I don''t know a lot of people with large or very blingy rings. But I think if it''s done tastefully then I think it looks great. So my solitaire vs. three-stone ring dilemma continues... (I know, I should just go try them on in real life! Just haven''t had the time to with work.)

I don't have a three-stone. but I have a solitaire, a 5-stone and an eternity band. they make a great combination. don' have pics but looks like:

I think that combination looks stunning - I LOVE bling, don't get me wrong, but I think as 3 stones give so much finger coverage (usually!) a simple band like this one, or as someone else mentioned, the Tiff Legancy band is such a good look!

Here is my three stone where the stones are more similar in size, with a eternity-looking type of ring (ring is not really an eternity but looks like one on my finger).

And one more with a shared prong eternity that's 5 pointers. It might be a bit disproportional, actually...
