Thoughts on this RB Diamond

I have seen pictures this diamond in a ring and it looks great (simple classic four-prongs solitaire). However, I realize that the proportions of the diamond are not 'ideal'. I unfortunately do not have any other specifications, i.e. pavillion angle, crown angle, etc. Based on the following specs from the GIA Report, do you think that this still could be a good purchase, knowing that I am not set on having a H&A diamond.

Round Brilliant

Measurements: 6.05 - 6.10 x 3.81 mm

Carat Weight: 0.90 carat
Color Grade: D
Clarity Grade: VS2

Proportions:
Depth: 62.7%
Table: 61%
Girdle: Thick to Very Thick, Faceted
Culet: None

Finish:
Polish: Very Good
Symmetry: Good
Fluorescence: None

Thank you for your input.

Very thick girdle is hiding weight. Basically, this stone is cut for the 0.9c mark where there is a sharp jump in $/carat. The diameter of this stone is that of a well cut 0.82c stone.

exactly. This stone, although .90 in carat weight, when veiwing it in a setting, will only look like a .82 stone. You will probably be better off getting an ideal-excellent cut .82-.89 stone and have it look the same size, or bigger, with more sparkle.

Good purchase - don't know because you don't list the price. If it were hugely discounted, perhaps. It could be recut to much better specs and if you got it for a steal, it could be a good purchase.

Good choice - probably not. It's a deep stone and has a very thick girdle where weight is hiding. You'd have to provide crown and pavillion angles but at first glance, I'd have to say no.

ditto. anything could be a good purchase at a certain price range. So the price you paid vs. the quality would determine the price. If you got this for hundreds less than all the other stones in the carat, color and clarity range, then possibly. A .82 ideal cut stone, with the same color and clarity would probably be a "better" stone, but the price may be waaaay over what you could get this stone for... so i guess it depends on your budget and what your priorities are.
