Guys what are your thoughts on this ASET image? Its a 1.5+ carat princess I am thinking about buying (ideal cut, polish and symmetry).

How does this JA one compare to something like this at WhiteFlash?

I am confused as to how Hearts and Arrows compares to "A Cut Above"

Can someone please help me with this?

Thanks!

You might be getting a deal on the JamesAllen stone. However I don't trust Jamesallen's ASET so you can't be sure.
I thought they were getting a new ASET setup?

Both are well cut Princess Stones, if you had the credit card room I'd call both in and look at them side by side.
I think you will find larger flashes of light out of the JA one but might find better overall brightness from the WF one.

Thanks, at the end of the day the WF one is almost $1500 more with a comparable setting. I was just unsure if "A Cut Above" was that much better than what JA calls True Hearts to justify that much of a price difference.

WF seems to think JA True Hearts is more in line with their Expert Selection stones and that their A Cut Above ones are far superior than the JA True Hearts. I don't know enough about it so was looking for some advice.

I think you are confusing the grading of rounds with that of Princess Cuts. WF does not have an Expert selection of Princess Cut stones.
Either way those general type of statements carry no weight when judging these two particular stones.

There is no such thing as Hearts and Arrows in princess cuts - it's a round brilliant thing (and a few modified cushions). Confusing that JA would have that designation.

ACA is just a term to encompass the top rated stones that WF has. JA shouldn't have any princesses under the True Hearts designation because as I said before there is no such thing. Hmm.

If I were shopping for a princess I'd stick with AGS 0 stones. JMHO.

ETA: I just checked and both of the stones you linked are already graded as AGS 0. Good job! Technically an ASET wasn't even needed from JA, as it has already been proven to have ideal light performance.

I would buy from the vendor that has the setting you want.

They did get a new ASET set up. It's much better than it used to be.
