Has a good HCA score and within the excellent TIC range, but I read diamonds for rings shouldn't be less than a 1 score?

Do not work with this vendor.

hca < 1 is fine. you would want to avoid ones that score hca >2.

as for this one, the h&a image shows some symmetry issues?

Yes, it's not perfect H&A, but does the HCA score show the fire & light return?

I've also been eyeing this 2.01 H VVS2. I've been looking over a month for a ring and a lot of jewelers are shut down due to Covid19. I live in Los Angeles. This one doesn't have any pictures of the diamond, just sample images only. Opinions please! I know the HCA score isn't the best...but this one is more 'affordable'...

I do not care for either. Both have very shallow crown angles.
The first one has less than stellar symmetry- I hope they aren’t selling it as a hearts and arrows quality because the images don’t show a diamond that would meet the criteria. Also, although it’s debated, officially of an HCA or less than 1 is recommended for pendants and earrings; if I’m remembering correctly, they can go dark when light is obstructed but your milage may vary
Number two is almost a 60/60 cut, and those definitely need pictures to determine if they’re worth considering.

Could you please elaborate? :oops2:

The G VS1 with those numbers cannot produce those images.
It is either the vendor providing the wrong ones, or you got mixed them up with the H VVS2.

The G VS1 is promising. Please provide us with correct images.

The images of the first one arent great. I am confused about how the images match the report. No idea who the vendor is though. The second stone doesnt look good to me from the numbers

I triple checked, those are the correct images for the GVS1.

Vendor is Yadavjewelry.com

I'm also looking at this one. Size is smaller, but price is same as 2.01 H VVS2.
I actually saw this in person and has lots of fire and brilliance, but not sure of cut.HCA 1.75.jpg

Those images are impossible for a diamond with 56% table and 40.8 pavilion angle. They uploaded or provided you with wrong images.

Thx for replying! I pulled them from Yadav Jewelry. are the proportions better or the image?

The proportions look good but the image does not. I like the last one you listed above (H VVS2) on paper but would want to see pics or video

The images look worse than the proportions. You should see longer arrows.

Those images look more like BIC with a larger table and steeper PA (greater than 41.0)

OP, listen to the posters of your thread and take a pass.

If you’re looking at diamonds from Yadav, you can use RareCarat’s search engine and advanced filters to narrow down your search to PS recommended angles. If you do that, you’ll see a lot less to pick from, but are more likely to find diamonds with complimentary angles that have a good HCA score.
I’ve purchased from Yadav and been happy overall in terms of value for my money, that being said, it’s not like WhiteFlash or BG where it’s safe to assume most stones are vetted and quality choices

thanks everyone for your suggestions and patience. I'm quite a newbie at this. Trying to find a nice rock for my engagement ring so naturally want the best cut/deal. thank you all!
