One diamond has a bigger spread, larger table and larger table reflection. Its contrast pattern is less defined and less clear. For this reason, it appears brighter in this photographic and lighting condition. The smaller one is closer to TIC than the other one. It appears a bit yellower.
I did not look at the reports. I will assume the smaller one is AGS. With more clear contrast pattern, it is probably better cut. But both are beautiful.
To be dead honest, I like the bigger one in these photos, even though I think the smaller one is AGS and better cut.
Interesting, the one close to the palm (left or bottom in these photos) actually has a smaller diameter than the other one.
The 35.5/41 combo explains the less defined contrast. I also surprised to find I was able to tell the color difference easily.
Regarding HCA score of 4.0, I don't really use HCA anymore.
Again, in these photos and lighting conditions, I like the G SI1.
PS: did you clean both stones properly?? The H VS2 looks rather dull..
Now I remember this one from previous threads.
Very strong light return, minimum leakage and relatively defined contrast (although not perfect) for a 35.5/41. I think it is a beautiful stone. This is where HCA fails miserably when it comes to some 35/41, 35.5/40.8, and 35.5/41.
The first photo is a bit unfair for the ACA because the camera is too close and you are seeing alot of camera reflection in ACA, which has a clearer contrast pattern. But other photos from different viewing distances also show the G SI1 is a strong performer.
I still think it is a reasonable buy for the price you paid. It appears so white.
I am not liking that H VS2 because of the obvious color difference.
