I have a setting that I love that fits a 8mm and I like the idea of getting a lower colored L/M/N round for it since I already have a lot of high color ideal cut rounds in my collection and a new fancy light yellow. Might as well round out the spectrum!

What do you think of the numbers on this M?

At a bit over 7k this seemed like decent value to fit my needs.

Yeah I saw that one. It’s not so much a budget issue as I don’t think the setting stretches to those dimensions lol.
To clarify I already own the setting. Currently houses a 8mm synthetic

Twist my arm why dontcha. I guess I could ask the jeweler if the setting could work for a bigger stone...

Although I did just buy Hazel and still need to reset her so maybe I should slow my diamond buying spree a bit. :p

Hmm. Is there a way to search for “faint brown” modifiers? Or do I just need to slog through bunches of Gia certa? Lol

I wonder if those in the trade would have a way to search for modifiers? Otherwise, I think you have to go through every cert :sick:

First, would they both fit the setting? Honestly, I would get the K. Between the faint brown and the fluorescence...:kiss2::kiss2::kiss2:

Not sure though my jeweler is a pretty good metal smith.
I think I’d lean BG just cause of the guaranteed cut quality and upgrade policy. Just in case this whole “low colored diamond” thing is a temporary phase I grow out of ! Lol

Nope :( you have to manually search. I originally wanted faint brown for my upgrade and had to look through each cert. Huge pain!
 
Oooh... I love your setting! :love: I have had both an M and a K and would lean towards the latter, color-wise. However, if you think you’ll want a change down the line, definitely go with BGD.

Yeah I like having the option of an upgrade policy if I change my mind after a return period.

Also, if BGD has a sale for the holidays and the price is under 10k I’m not sure my inner deal hunter can pass up a 2.27ct super ideal from BGD for <10k. Even if it means no bling buys for the next 2 years!
 
That BG stone is ridiculously good value in my books. A M with strong blue fluor is like kryptonite for me.

I wish there was a way to search for non-blue fluor without doing it manually - I'd love an awesome stone with an unusual glow!

Haha sometimes i get paranoid and assume if something seems too good then I’m just missing some aspect ..

I think it disappeared for a while, and then came back. While some of us think an M with fluorescence is AWESOME, I’m betting most people looking for diamonds shy away from both of those, let alone both together.

Not complaining. More warm super ideal cuts for me!
 
So with the Black Friday coupon (and adding a 16$ bowl to make it valid) the price was 9775$ but I forgot about the tax. Doh. So not <10k after all.

That’s ok. I do NOT need another big diamond purchase right now.

Hopefully someone gets this beauty soon though so that I’ll stop being tempted.

You are one of the unfortunates that live in Texas? That’s my only complaint with living here- having to pay sales tax when I buy from WF or BG :cry2:

Can’t wait to see what you eventually do with the setting!

No I live in PA but at the check out screen there’s a link to PA use tax law where if you buy our or state and ship in you apparently still owe the tax even if the vendor doesn’t collect it automatically. I guess that’s consistent with when I buy from amazon and Etsy..
 
So funny story. I wrote to FourMine to ask about the K stone, and the rep flat out told me the diamond has a brown tint and is unattractive but they'd be happy to help me find another one.
lol, what an odd tactic? or maybe commendable honestly and good intent?

Also, how does one find if other vendors carry the same stone? Is there a way to search by GIA number?
