Thoughts on optical performance of this emerald cut?

Hello,

This is my first time buying a diamond and my girlfriend decided she's a fan of emerald cuts. I've done lots of research on what to look for in an emerald and came across this 2.1 H VVS2 gem on Rare Carat, IGI certified. I was a fan of the scintillation. It seemed to me lively and bright, and maintains some contrast without being too dark. It may be lacking in contrast but perhaps I'm overthinking it. Am I missing any issues? What do you think of it's optical performance? I'm considering asking for an ASET image if available.

I filtered my search for certain specs which I have listed here:
Table 61-69%
Depth 60-68%
L/W Ratio 1.39-1.51 (She is a fan of elongated)

I should add, I found the same gem on Ritani for $3k less than the Rare Carat listing. Unless I'm missing something seems almost like a no-brainer.

I don't know anything about emerald cuts, but I just wanted to let you know that Rare Carat will price match Ritani if you ask. If you want a setting too, then from my experience, the Rare Carat setting I have is much better than my Ritani ones.

@Kim N if I dont answer today, ping me tomorrow please. Just got back from docs and I'm blasted.

I just came on to make sure, before you get too invested in this search, that you KNOW for sure whether your GF is onboard with getting a LAB diamond?

Good one but the one above is just slightly better.

not bad but not the best of the lot.

See comments between the images.....
All of the ritani stones are cut by the same cutter and are nice stones but the other 2 have better crown height and just a slight better overall look.

Yes, she is onboard. After showing her the lab diamonds I was able to find versus the cost of an equivalent natural, she would probably be upset with me if I paid the price for natural. She'd much rather the money be saved for a house that will eventually be hers.

That one just rocks.
I love the video that rotates them the right way.

Edit: this one is the winner, with the one below a close second.

I really appreciate the feedback. Hopefully I'll have luck getting the 1.99 with virtual inventory, but good to know that the others are viable options if the top choice isn't available.

For education's sake, what would you say the larger crown height % contributes to the overall cut and performance?

The answer is very complex but yes.
Face up there is little difference but off axis and moving there can be much more of a difference.
A stone with a smaller ch but the facets work better together can win.
Its a combination of a lot of things but a higher ch is one consideration.
