Seeking opinions on this stone from Blue Nile. It has an HCA score of 1.0.

1.50, Ideal, I VS1
7.41 x 7.48 x 4.38
61 Depth
58.8 Table
32.5 Crown angle* This concerns me a bit.
40.8 Pavilion angle
Very good symmetry
Florescence, medium blue

I would not buy this stone. The crown angle is very concerning, and it doesn't look great in the photo

Also I don't think it actually scores a 1 on the HCA. I think you reversed the depth and table. I just looked up the stone because I couldn't figure out why it looked so odd in the pic. The table is 61 and depth is 58.8. Table being bigger than depth is a red flag to me.

EDIT. Re-ran through the HCA and it's 1.8. That is under 2, meaning it should be considered. But the wacky angles and table/depth would rule it out for me.

The “very good“ symmetry seems obvious is the photo. Arrows are all wonky. I’d pass.

I'd agree with LD!...When the table % is > depth is a no go for me.

Interesting [nts for tomorrow]
