Home The Official TTC Thread!

Robbie, this is my first attempt at temping to determine O. Well, I tried it last cycle, but we were on vacation and camping and in different time zones and it just didn''t work out. The temps were totally off and messed up. So, I don''t know when I O, or if I O. I''m hoping to at least confirm that I O with this cycle. I have been meticulous to temp the right way this time, at the same time, and yada yada.

Anyway, I''ll just wait and see what happens. I just thought it was too soon for CM to be showing anything like fertility for me. But hey, if my cycle wants to straighten out this go round, I''m all for it!! They do say it typically can take up to 6 cycles after coming off the pill to "regulate" and this is my sixth, so I would be a happy girl if it did work out that way.

I guess the only reason I posted was to see if I was nuts for thinking that it may nearing, as I was thinking it would be over a week away for me. There''s no way to tell, so I''ll just play it safe and pretend like it is the time.

I''ve had a couple of temp rises, but nothing that has been after 6 days of lows. So, FF hasn''t determined anything so far.

This is like an obsession at times. I feel like I''m studying for a test and I still don''t "get" a lot of the material I''m supposed to learn and understand and be able to apply.

Aye, the good old days of high school and college and cramming...

Robbie - I meant cycle before...my bad. I''m not a bright light.

LL- I am thinking about you and hoping for the best. Big hugs!!!

So, since I don''t have a regular cycle, I can''t know if I''m nearing O based on CF, since all I have to go off is that my last 5 cycles have varied from 35 to 61 days. So, based on that, if LP is usually between 12-16 days, I''m no where near that since today is only day 18. So (how many sentences can I start in a row with ''So,''?), if my average is 45 days (which it isn''t, but we''re talking mean here), I shouldn''t be even thinking anything really about actual baby making until like day 27, over a week from now.
Not quite, hon. It doesn''t matter if your cycles are regular or not. Fertile quality CF--watery or EW-- signals that your body is gearing up to ovulate. Period. Past cycles are irrelevant, especially because they are irregular! You CANNOT predict when you will ovulate based on past cycles.... very few women are regular enough to know when they will ovulate. So you are just going to have to throw all your assumptions about your cycles out the window and "listen" to what your body is telling you. If you have fertile quality CF, whether or not it is at the "expected" time, you need to assume that ovulation is approaching and act accordingly!
31.gif

It isn''t actually very complicated if you boil it down to the most basic point-- fertile CF is your body waving a big old flag saying "I''m going to ovulate, all you spermies get on board!!" That''s the only thing you really need to pay attention to. Temping is just an extra tool to help confrim that you ovulate, and to learn the length of your LP. Temping doesn''t actually help you get preggo, only the CF really helps with that since it is the only thing that tells you when to BD!

I just read my last post and that's definitely not what I meant to say. I know to go off of CM, but just to be extra careful, if I have no EWCM a day or 2 before my earliest O date, I'll start BDing just in case it happens to be a cycle with CM that's only showing up internally.

Lysser, it's cool, you've got preggo brain

Okay. I hear you ladies now. So, I need to stop thinking so much about the temp shifts I have from time to time. I getcha!

LL, you''ll be in my thoughts at work today.

I'm Ba-a-a-a-ck! Wow. So much happens in this thread! I'm trying to get caught up but I'm exhausted and back at work and busy. I'll have to catch up with each of your stories and connect back a little later.
I just want to shout out to LittleL. My heart ached when I read your post about the HCG and spotting. Hang in there. It doesn't necessarily mean anything....and spotting is okay, it's the heavy bleeding with clots that's b-a-d. Keep us posted. We're here for you if you need a shoulder.
Pandora. Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. I hope this is it for you!

My NYC update. I met Harry Conick Jr in the hotel elevator (swoon). He is so cute and so nice!!!! THEN I saw Danny from NKOTB and my hubby insisted that I get my pic taken with him. hahahahahaha. OMG hilar. It'a terrible "chin" angle of us (from below) but none the less. It's a New Kid on the Block. LOL.

*** Warning*** Crazy person alert.
I'm currently 6DPO.

I may get kicked off the board and sentenced to a sanatorium for what I'm about to say...but I'm going to just put it out there as I believe it to be true. I believe we caught the egg. I started *feeling* very pregnant 2 days Post Ovulation. On 3DPO I had major cramping and my left nipple killed. I remember this feeling from my last pregnancy and to me, it's undeniable. For me, it's like being "veiled" so that all my senses are dullened. I'm clumsy, "dizzy" almost and drained of all my energy, and my skin is hot to the touch again.

I know its sounds loony tunes to feel pg so quickly, but I DO! I'm going to post my chart. The only thing that worries me slightly is how low my temps were on CD16 and CD17 (4DPO and 5DPO) but it could just be from being in a different city and irregular wake times / sleep patterns or maybe it was the implantation dip.

If i'm not preggers, then I'll have lost all my "thread cred" with you. will you still let me play? If for some reason I'm not PG, then omg please don't judge me; just think of me as your, ahem, "eccentric" friend. hahahaha.

I have to wait to test, which is annoying because of how strongly I feel I'm PG.

Here is my chart. (NKOTB pic to come! hahaha)

mela, your chart sure does look good!! looks like a very clear implantation dip, then your temp going up, up, up! I am keeping my fingers crossed for you big time!

Hi everyone!! I still need a moment to go through everyone's threads, but just wanted to let you know that I'm out!

Yes, that sneaky AFF showed up on my doorstep on Sunday morning while I was at my friend's house in CT. Unfortunately, this couldn't have been worse timing as my friend (who's house we were all staying at) had announced she was pregnant Sat. night. *Sigh* So, looks like I'm setting my sights on this cycle.

The good news is that on a whim, I had ordered the CBE fertility monitor last Friday which should hopefully be arriving today. I'm on CD 3.

Real quick - LL - you're definitely in my thoughts!!

Mela - sending you mounds of baby dust!!!

Yay, Mela - FX for both of us. If you are, are you going to call it Brooklyn a la Posh & Becks???
31.gif

I will totally understand if you are not pg - I was soooooo convinced I was last cycle. Madness is a wonderful thing!

This one, I don''t feel pg in the least (yet), but things feel more ''normal'' if that makes sense. I couldn''t for the life of me understand why my CP was so high for the whole of my LP. This time it''s in the right place.

My temps dropped a tiny bit this morning 36.66 yesterday to 36.60 today, so I''m hoping they''ll shoot back up tomorrow...

I''m going to start POAS tomorrow - I know 8DPO is early, but I have LOADS of cheapy tests, so I fully intend to indulge my new addiction (all your fault Lisa

).

LL, hope your numbers look better today!

I''m sorry.

It''s like LIWistis all over again, but worse. Must have been very hard to be so happy for your friend and yet sad for yourself.

Don''t worry, your time will come (soon hopefully!) and yay for the CBE monitor!

this is never not funny to me...

Robbie that is a totally good point, and that reasoning is why we ended up with a 10 day marathon... we started early "just in case".

Mela your chart looks great and that dip might have been the infamous "implantation dip" which really has nothing to do with implantation but really just indicates that you have really high estrogen this cycle... estrogen SURGES mid LP (sorry Pandors, got that backwards a few posts back) and when you have high estrogen it pulls the temps down. High estrogen = greater liklihood pg, so there's a chance mela!

Exactly... I hope you O early this cycle Fisher, that would be awesome! If you have fertile CF, then maybe your body is changing, like you mentioned before.

mela - that pic is hilarious haha! i loved nkotb back in the day. btw, i hope this is it for you - but if not, we will still let you play. heck we are all a little batty when it comes to the TWW!

this is never not funny to me...
I am super jealous of the Danny picture!! I was a fan back in the day, too, and have tickets to their concert in Boston in a few weeks!! I would have freaked out if I saw them...although moreso if it had been Joe or Jordan!!

Oh yah. Joey for me all the way. LOL

Mela, that picture is awesome! I''ll keep my fingers crossed for you that you guys caught the egg.

Blushing, sorry that AFF showed up
7.gif
. Why doesn''t she get that we just want her to stay away?! I agree with Pandora that this is like LIWitis again. I thought I had it bad when DH had all the say about when we''d take that next step, but I think this is worse. Now it''s not up to either of us!

DD, what does it mean if you have high estrogen and aren''t pregnant? I get a dip almost every cycle.

Today is CD17 for me and I think that today is O day **fingers crossed**! I''ve been charting CP this cycle (first time I''ve consistently charted it. I tried once before, but couldn''t get the hang of it) and today it''s SHOW! I could be wrong and it could stay like this for a few days before O, but I have a good feeling. Or maybe it''s just that I''m ready for this BD marathon to be over. I mentioned to DH yesterday that as long as I O before our anniversary (the 8th), we''ll have a May baby. He was like, "You might not O until the 8th?!" I think he''s had enough BDing for a while too. Haha. That''ll teach him to be careful what he wishes for.

Does anyone get middleschmertz? What does it feel like and how long does it last? I''ve never noticed it before, but my left ovary (at least where I think it is) is feeling kind of achy and supposedly that''s the side I''ll be ovulating from this cycle.

Good luck catching your egg Robbie! I hope this is the day
2.gif
I don''t *really* get O pains, but I have friends who do (badly). Get busy and cross your fingers for a near temp rise!

BB - so sorry that AFF™ came. Damn her. Honestly, it sucks, but maybe 3rd time trying will be a charm

Lindsey - did I miss your BFP? or do I forget??? (my bad, so sorry to be so "absent" on such big news). CONGRATS GIRL! What''s your EDD?

what else....

Well, I''m back from the doc...still don''t have any numbers...may not get them until later this afternoon or possibly tomorrow. Blergh. I''d REALLY just like to know one way or the other.

The spotting has pretty much stopped...cramps are still here and there, but oh well.

Mela - Congrats on your brush with NKOTB fame! I''m glad you had a good time. And I hope you are prego!

BB - Stupid AF. She stinks. I''m sorry, friend.

Pandora - Good luck to you and your POAS adventures!!!

Robbie - I hope today is O day! You need a break!

Hmmm, if it''s supposed to be a bad pain, then I guess mine is just something else.

DD, what does it mean if you have high estrogen and aren''t pregnant? I get a dip almost every cycle.
Well, it just means you have high estrogen in general! It''s a good thing because high estrogen is related to increased fertility. I think I read that 15% of non-pg cycles have a dip. So maybe you will get KTFU relatively quickly!

still thinking of you Lil''L. I''ve been there, and really hope that you have a positive outcome. You sound like you''re dealing with this really well, but still, it''s so difficult to process. My heart goes out to you.

not necessarily...I think everyone is just different. Plus everyone has different pain tolerance...so it''s probably o pain
2.gif
...Which is a "good" pain. ((((BABY DUST)))))

Lysser if the spotting has stopped that is a great sign! Cramps are normal, I had them lightly (more like a pulling feeling) for weeks. I hope you get the results today!

Thanks everyone...I really wasn''t feeling like it was last month (which is why I purchased the monitor) so, I guess that helps soften the blow a little. DH has been great and we''ll be back to BDing and knittting in no time! Anyway, looking forwad to starting a new cycle!
36.gif

LL - fingers crossed for you - keep us posted!

Mela - LOVE the pic - that''s freak''n hilarious!!!

Robbie - here''s hoping today''s your O-day!
36.gif

Pandora - good luck to you! Lots of baby dust headed your way!!!

Wow, this thread has been busy!

Just wanted to quickly say LL I''m thinking of you! I hope you get the results today.

Okay, back to catching up...

Po10472- Congrats on the newest addition to your family!

Feb- Any update? Sorry this has been so prolonged...I''m still hoping this is your cycle!

Pandora- Good luck knitting, I hope you are starting to feel better!

EBree- How is the knitting coming? You were going to wait to miss AF to test, right? I''m pretty sure I''ll be doing that this cycle.

Lovely- Welcome back! Thanks for sharing the pictures, they are gorgeous!

Robbie and Fisher- Good luck with the bding, I hope you catch that egg soon!

Mela- Welcome back! I love the celebrity sightings, especially Harry! I don''t think you could ever loose your thread cred, and am hoping this is your month!

Blushing- I''m sorry you are out, and after finding out your friend was pregnant! On a side note, make sure you program your CBFM the morning after you receive it, I think it needs to be programed by the 6th day of your cycle...but check the instructions to make sure. In any case, good luck this cycle!

Hi to everyone else!

oh am, you're so good with the shout-outs.

I echo you're kudo to Lovely's photography
36.gif
and warm welcome to Po's family.

I also meant to comment on Pandora's question about the naming of our future baby. Since we conceived in NYC (yet to be confirmed with a test), we want to give the baby (if it's a boy) a middle name that reflects NY. Kinda like "Brooklyn" a la Posh & Becks but not that. FUN!

Hey guys.

Looks like I''ll be joining you again in a bit.

OB called. Levels were 50. Down from 203. OB called it an early miscarriage and said that the spotting and cramping might be the tissue passing. So looks like this one decided it wasn''t the right time or place.

DH and I are both feeling a bit down...but trying to stay positive...
