Ugh. Just needed to vent a minute.

My boyfriend and I are talking about getting engaged. Have been for a while now. But within the past few months, it''s moved to the phase of looking and getting a little closer to being reality. I know it''s going to happen within the next 8 months or so, and I''m trying not to push the subject or anything - but I htink the fact that I know at some point that it is going ot happen is slowly driving me insane. I have been having random dreams about it and am embarrassed because I don''t want to rush anything at all. I want to enjoy the time that I have with him, whether we''re engaged or not. As much as I love the rings, I love him more, and I don''t know why I feel like a ring is a steadfast symbol of our committment, when I already know how we feel. Is this just crazytalk?

We talk about ''when we get married'' - it''s not like it''s a hypothetical. We''re committed to each other, but I am almost busting at the seams to have an outward symbol of that - and move on to the next phase. Hopefully getting this off my chest will help me let it go a little bit and just let it happen when it happens.

We are totally committed to each other, and we''ve talked about getting married A LOT, and our future and kids! But how long is he going to make me wait??? His younger brother, my age, has been married for a year (he dated his wife for 8 years before he popped the question, I hope mine doesn''t wait that long...)
