I must post here. Finally good news.

OMG I am so relieved!!!! I just got my PTH results back. Long story but the first lab (Quest) screwed up so I had to repeat Tuesday and used a different lab (Lab Corp). Anyway my PTH went down (to 28 from 86!!!) with the 1500 mg of calcium supplementation! So so happy. NO parathyroid surgery for me. Not for now at least WOOHOO!!!!

I have been working in a temporary IT database contract support gig with a company I really like. I was just offered a permanent position. Telecommuting into St. Louis from Virginia. YAY 2022!

I am so happy. I have had remarkable gains on my DXA and according to my bone specialist "spectacular" improvement in my bone health. Persistence and perseverance paid off in this circumstance. It was a challenging two years (not having to do with the pandemic) and all my hard work was/is worth it. I have to continue doing all I'm doing to keep the gains I made but knowing I am experiencing improvements makes all the difference.

My dad got a biopsy on 12/21 and we just got the results today. He doesn’t have cancer again! Hallelujah!!!

My brother got a raised and bought me a new tv!! To thank me for believing in him and bailing him out for 20+ years. I feel bad because our tv still works but it's almost 14 years old. Next week I'll be the owner of a 55 inch lg oled C1 TV. My husband doesn't know yet

So.. this morning I was doing a TikTok live.. I had about .. maybe 20 people in it [it just started] and I'm trying to focus.. I'm trying to concentrate..And one of the biggest tiktok creators just floats into my room, The Great Londini. If you don't know who he is, give him a google. He does great things for people. Anyway.. I completely broke down and lost connection to every and anything I was doing.. I FAN GIRLED so hard.. I had to stop the live.. IM ..A .. NERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD LOLOLOL.

Our almost 15 year old son made high honors this quarter!

This is a kid who did remote learning all last year and then started high school this past September. I’m amazed at how well he has adjusted to so much change.

I know! He is in the agricultural program as well and he has a really good circle of friends, good kids. He has come a long way from last year when he was doing remote learning on a computer, in bed, with the cat next to him

Went to the coffee shop today and a woman walked in with her friend, I noticed she had Hello Kitty clipped onto her purse. Well younger son is a huge fan so I pointed it out to him and she comes over. I tell her son is a huge fan and has quite a large collection, she says “so do I” and gives him the Hello Kitty! Great start to the day.

My son got his #1 residency choice on the 18th. We had a big party to celebrate and he was very surprised. This is the kid that teachers told me should be put on Ritalin. In response I took him skating before school 3 - 4x/week to burn out his energy, no drugs. He was allowed on the freestyle session only because I had control of him. (Little hockey boys are rarely allowed on freestyle) It was a good week!

Fibre optic cable has finally arrived in my rural location. High speed internet is wonderful - up from formerly 5 Mbps to 57 Mbps now.
I’ll be able to surf on Pricescope even faster now!

Gary went to the GP today to get his flu jab and the results of his last blood test
She said for a man in his 70th year he is doing pretty good.
Thats the best thing a doc has said to him in 20 years
he has high cholesterol suddenly which she isnt sure why all of a sudden ? and he shouldn't take Voltarin any more because it is starting to show up as kidney damage and he needs to drink more water, which we are pretty good at in the summer but forget all about it when it gets cooler

So the stray/ wild tom cat who lives down the back garden behind the shed, whom i feed, trying to get friendly, now finally comes to the back door for breakfast and tea (dinner)

I got 3 bee stings the last couple of years taking his meals down there in bare feet

so anyway he isnt keen on being touched but he will come right inside and stand by the fridge waiting for dinner service

tonight he jumped right over sox cat like a kitten in his haste to come inside to supervise his meal prep

He let me give him two long pats twice !

Congratulations to you and your son for his success!!! You deserve a lot of credit for doing right by your son and keeping him off ADHD meds. You went the extra mile making you a wonderful Mom!!!
