I've been reading this forum for years. Now it is finally time to share my engagement news. I am STOKED about my Tiffany & Co. Soleste engagement ring! My fiance and I picked this ring together after many months of waiting for inventory at Tiffany because large stones are rare, and I was searching for G-H color and 2.5ct+. 8 months after purchase, he proposed. I am beyond thrilled with our choice.

It sparkles like crazy. I love this cut. It is definitely an attention catcher and I have been stopped everywhere for a look-see and compliments!

+1, I ADORE everything about this ring. I have a special place in my heart for warmer stones (still trying to find one for myself!), and that stone and design are just incredible! The gallery has an aquatic feel--it reminds me of a mermaid somehow (please don't take offense, I am a swimmer so I find it one of the most appealing parts of the ring)! Please start a thread on this beauty on SMTB if you haven't already!

Lovedogs, absolutely no offense taken regarding the mermaid reference. Even though I was not thinking of mermaids when I chose the scales motif, I can totally see it. I love how each of us can react so differently and bring particular ideas and inclinations to bear when they look at something.

Unfortunately my post has been removed . I'm a longtime PS lurker and hadn't posted before, so I guess in my first attempt to join the conversation I did something wrong. I spent hours writing on that post. I genuinely wanted to share my story and thank the PS community. Seemed like the right thing to do since PS was so instrumental in the process of making my ring a reality.
I had also started a thread on SMTB as someone here suggested with the pics and overall specs. That's gone too. I've apparently done something to offend or broke some kind of PS rule, but am not sure what.
TMI?? Too long a word count? Was it inappropriate to mention some of the vendors I worked with? Any insight from you nice ladies would be most appreciated.

In any case, again, thank you for your kind words. I guess I'll just go back to lurking.

I''ve been stalking this forum for quite some time admiring all of the beautiful rings and I finally got my e-ring this weekend so I thought I''d share a photo too.

The band is white gold split shank with 34 round diamonds (28 points total).  The center is a 0.77 round brilliant, F, VS1.  The picture doesn''t do it justice, but I''m working on my photography skills.  (The tips on this board helped me get the one decent shot here.)
