I still can't believe they swam with Sharks and those were big sharks.
32.gif
TOTALLY!!! That's when I realized .. not only does she not want to MARRY him ... she doesn't even LIKE him! That was such a mean thing to do ... to drag a SINGLE FATHER, who knows he is the sole support of a three-year-old boy, into SHARK-INFESTED WATERS!!! And make it out like he's a chicken if he doesn't! How completely inconsiderate ... CRUEL even ... to put him in that position ... to choose his own safety or impressing a girl who is not even into him. AIIIGH. I was mad at her for that.

ETA: It also showed, for once & for all that she doesn't "get it" about being a parent. She could not tolerate changing up her plans for someone else's benefit. It's all about her all the time.

Well maybe he will be good for her because she can be intense. I still think Jason should be the next bachelor. I still can't believe they swam with Sharks and those were big sharks.
32.gif

I guess we will see if they get married. I wonder if the Matt and Shayne will get married too??? hmmmmm
I don't think that Jason will leave his son again for that time period. Also, I would guess he's probably not looking for the girls that will pull in the most ratings (young-mid 20's). IMO, he may want someone he "knows" is ready to be a mother, or maybe already is. Maybe we can find him on Match.com??

I think Jeremy would be a good choice. After everything he said at the end of the show about realizing he has to move past being the emotional crutch for his family... But honestly, I'm ready for a new face. We should start looking for "eligible" bachelors... you know, for research!!
31.gif

ETA: Completely agree about the selfishness on her part to use shark swimming to see if Jason could be as adventurous as Jesse... I was irritated as well. Those things were huge.

Wow, I never thought about the part she just doesn''t ''get it.'' You are so right, I am impressed with how emotionally intuitive you are Deco, seriously!!!

Yeah, I accidentally swam with a shark and swam back to the boat as quickly as possible!!! I just thought how can he say no, he will look bad like you said. He held her hand through it but I thought it was just plain mean!

Then Jesse got the romantic island! With that we should have known who see chose!!!

Haha, I joked with FI that she was trying to make the decision easier for her by getting him injured, or even worse

ITA, that was a bad bad thing to put anyone through, let alone a single parent. WTF was she thinking?!?!

Grr, I just lost my long post. Here''s the gist:
I live in Newnan. I know that up until Deanna began her stint on the Bachelor/Bachelorette, she worked as a bartender at a local bar here. I had a friend who was buying a house from her about 9 months ago, and according to her it was Deanna''s first sale as a realtor. The houses in this area are surprisingly cheap, and after seeing her house, I was surprised to read that it is worth 250k. I would expect 250k to buy a lot more house around here. Regardless, I hope her and Jesse ahve found true happiness! I know money is a huge source of tension in relationships, I hope it won''t be one for them.

I was team Jesse all the way!! He made her feel alive and isn''t that what living is all about? I only sensed a fully genuine person who would only give 100% to Deanna. He does that for his career, in how he competed in the show and even the friendships he formed with the guys. ALL the guys LOVED him!

He''s 26, owns his own house. How many other 26 year olds can do that? I am sure alot but mostly I am addressing the issues that he is just a "snowboarder".

"Jesse lives in Breckenridge, Colorado. He is a pipe specialist. Jesse has been a coach at High Cascade Snowboard Camp. He competes in many halfpipe competitions during the winter and also is a snowboard instructor at Breckenridge Ski Area. And if you think he’s hurting, he’s not. LALATE has found a list of his reported snowboarding sponsors: Purl, Unity Snowboards, Zero Gloves, Screamer Hats, Shady LTD, Purl Wax, Vitamin Water, and Bern Helmets."

I guess I am just trying to defend someone that has followed their dream and make a good living doing it. Not all snowboarders are bums with no money or ambition. Most athletes I have known have gone on to start their own businesses within the industry. Part of me wishes I would have stayed in Colorado and continued to teach ski school rather then get the "real world" job. It''s just not for everyone....

No one here has argued that he ISN'T making a good living now (I think we all know he is)... the question is what WILL HE make a good living doing after he stops snowboarding. Which he said he plans to do very soon. I have friends that were instructors during the season, and the pay is about as cold as the weather. I worry that he will be a snowboarding analyist and have to travel all over, which is only a concern for when they decide to have kids. But I guess, heck, Brangelina does it, so why can't Jess'anna.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

I'm sure the choice was right for HER, but man oh man would *I* have made a different choice!

Blah. Maybe he'll be the next Bachelor

BTW, I was NOOOOOOOT a fan of Jesse's pre-ring-purchase freakout, complete with practically dry-heaving in the bushes. Not exactly what I'd like to picture my own boyfriend doing before buying me a ring

I am late joining this thread. I stayed off PS last night for fear of seeing spoilers but it looks like you all did a great job at waiting to discuss it!

Regarding the first person always being a goner...didn't they switch it up one season or two? Other than the one where Brad rejected BOTH women!
29.gif

I agree, they totally edited the show and tricked us. It really seemed like Jason was the one!

I think Jason should be the next bachelor but I doubt he would because he'd have to leave his son again.

I was rooting for Jason but Jesse is a nice guy. He seems very down to earth. I don't dislike him. DeAnna and Jesse seemed very happy in love but I agree, it seemed like puppy love, too lovey dovey. Jesse's sicription of him being in love - butterflies and sweaty hands - come on! That's the beginning of every relationship! And I can't believe he was about to puke before picking out the ring!

Wow, I couldn't post until now. You girls are quick to the punch!

I had a feeling that she may end up choosing Jesse. I think that's why I couldn't predict it. (Im usually good at that with this show) But I think because I truly felt that Jason would be a better match with D than Jesse, but something was telling me I bet she chooses Jesse. I felt SO SO bad for Jeremy. The poor guy! I started to think that I wondered if they would make him the next bachelor..........but then........she doesn't choose Jason which was very depressing. As soon as Chris opens the door and it's Jason, my heart dropped. I knew he was the one to go because I think only once in Bachelor history have they made the person the guy chooses come first. I got tears in my eyes. I CANT BELIEVE she let him get down on one knee. How heartbreaking and embarrasing that must have been for him, I could just see it on his face, he looked so sick. I now think they might end up asking Jason if he would want to be the next bachelor because he is such a good guy and he has that sweet little boy Ty. Not sure he would accept though.

I honestly hope D made the right choice by choosing Jesse. Who knows, maybe they will be perfect for each other. Guess we will just have to wait and see. May 9, 2009 she said is the date............

ETA: I think when the sister in law pointed out that D is a free spirit like Jesse, and the whole talk her dad had with her about Jesse, I had a feeling it was going to be him at that point. Because maybe she realized she didn't want to jump into a family as soon as she thought she did.

I loved Jesse!!! I thought that Jason just wanted a wife. I really think if you put anyone in D''s position he would have wanted her too. Just my opinion.

On another note, this was not the first time Jesse was on a reality show. Did you see the episode of MTV''s made where he was the snowboard coach? Seriously, I don''t watch the show but I did watch this episode because i I like to snowboard. Here is a link to an interview with the girl he coached: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9C07jHHk3zY&feature=related

I thought she made the right choice too! I hope things work out for them. So is he a sponsored snow boarder? Maybe he can start his own company or something.

Oh and Jason was a great guy too and he wil meet someone easily! But I could just tell deanna and Jessie were in love.

Just finished watching right now...grrr...I''m happy with the outcome. By the looks of it, doesn''t seem like HER family is happy - especially the dad. But isn''t that almost always the case? I cried who knows how many times during the both shows and I never cry.

I hope, if there is a heaven above, that Jeremy is NOT the next bachelor, because I WILL NOT watch the show if he is on it. He is creepy to me, and he even came back to try to convince her and that shows more creepiness on his part. I''m on the fence about Jason being the next one - but I like to see new faces...

I felt really bad for Jason. He was so hurt - but again, he was too sure that it was a sure thing...he thought there was no competition between him and Jesse, like there was no way in heck she would pick Jesse.

Yeah, I have to agree with you all about the smooching - can we say OVERLOAD...geez...they live together right now, so what''s up with that?

I liked both rings, but I think I liked Jason''s choice better. But DeAnna seemed to love it - soul mates, huh? ANybody else here believe in soul mates? Just curious...

Elegant, I believe in soul mates..(I'm not with mine unfortunately), but unless you've experienced it, you can't quite grasp the soul mate thing! When you meet that person..he/she will make you feel jittery, sweaty palmed, almost puky! It feels as though you've known that person for a lifetime, even if you have just spent a few hours together ,the first day together! You can lose touch for a year or two, then when you see or talk to that person, you pick up right where you left off, with ease..without skipping a beat! (as though that person had never been gone). You can stare at the person, and know what they are thinking, you can finish their sentences, and feel it when they are hurt, sad..etc..even if they are far away from you. Kind of like having radar!! I could go on and on..but that's a whole different thread. There are people you can live with, but only ONE person you can't or shouldn't live without! He/she is the missing puzzle piece, to your puzzle!

Hey beau13!

Interesting, so were you ever with a soul mate? You speak as if you have been there...
27.gif

I think it is funny that DeAnna speaks of a soul mate but really didn''t before, right?

Ok. Here it is. I''m about the same age as both of them (I''m 27), and I liked Jason up until they were showing the dates in her hometown this week.

Jason was really saleman-like with her family. Saying all the right things. And for some reason, it did not seem like he was genuine when he told her that he loved her on their last date. I think he wanted it to be genuine, but I think that he just wanted to get married again. Of course that is only speculation from me, a girl watching her TV who wasn''t living it. Only Jason knows that. Watching Jason, even though he seemed like a great guy, he really turned me off. He came across to me as really needy and kinda feminine, also forced.

Jesse seemed sincere and genuine, true to himself the whole time.

I agree that the making out during the last hour was a bit over the top...

I also suspect that letting Jason get down on one knee (I agree, harsh) had something to do with the producers. Who knows how much of their lives they have to sign away to be on that show!

Just my opinion. Nothing else.

OMG...good job! I tried the link but it didn''t work, said it was busy or something like that...Baby boy?????? Hmmmm.....interesting.

She looks good in that picture - they make an interesting couple, don''t they? You know how some people you can say they look right for each other and they look good together? They are cute together, but in an interesting way...

Ooooh scandal... I SWEAR I did not photoshop that in, it was right there on the page when it loaded!

I clicked on the page just now and it looked different, much more polished (like what I saw was a halfway done stage or something??). Then when I clicked refresh it said service temporarily unavailable
33.gif
too weird.

ETA: The picture on the bottom-right of the page says "baby boy" in the box before it loads. If that makes any sense.

This is what it looks like now...

deannaandjessehmmmm.jpg

I had a feeling it would also be Jesse. There didn''t seem to be any *passion* between her and Jason and she seemed to just like him more as a person or a friend than a boyfriend.

Jesse seems like a great guy, but did anyone think that his stomach ache issues before he looked at rings suggested he wasn''t ready to propose? I do think that he picked out a gorgeous ring though!!

I think these two are probably better for each other than her and Jason. Jason seems to mature for her and although he swam with sharks, she seemed to need more adventure than his life had. She was almost trying to force the adventure and passion into Jason.

hmmmm, scandalous... I wondered if their "big announcement" was that they were preggers... I wonder what is going on with the "baby boy" thing? Maybe they are just trying to create hype.

Oooooooooooh interesting. I saw the "new family" for the other photo before it loaded but didn't see the "baby boy" on my end.

Actually when I first went to the site it said sevice unavailable. And I thought well maybe its not up yet. But about 10 minutes later I refreshed and it worked. Maybe they are just now working on the site? Or maybe too many people are going to the site at one time.

BTW- doesn't D look so cute and happy in the top left photo?

I just looked at the site and it looks like the "baby boy" thing is gone! ??

The "baby boy" thing is very interesting but I have to wonder if they really created this website themselves. It could be anyone (with way too much time!) pretending to be them. Also, something weird is going on with the website because when I first clicked on it the top left picture was of two young kids. Then the website was temporarily unavailable.

I just looked at the site, and in place of the photo on the right showing them holding hands right after they got engaged, there was a red X and the words "Baby Boy". Sort of like that was the name of the photo and it didn't load.

I agree snlee, this may well not be something they created for themselves.

ETA: Just checked again, and now there are two little kids in the upper corner instead of Jesse and Deanna, and the engagement picture is back. Someone is hard at work on this site tonight.

I just tried to get to the site and only got as far as the page in the pic here on PS.
Ya know, maybe the "baby Boy is a pet, dog or cat ?? I know, stupid! :-))
