WOW! Just Wow! I so enjoyed drooling and dreaming going through this whole post this afternoon. I don't know if I will ever own a 5+ carat diamond or even if I could, I am not so sure I will feel comfortable with that size but I would sure like to try!

Redid setting on my 5.5 round. Setting in my avatar was temp and I thought it looked too thin with 1.5mm shank. Asked my jeweller to copy setting but put it on steroids! Think it looks much sturdier and I don’t worry about it being too dainty for everyday wear

There's a sneak peek on Caysie's IG, although she remarked how tough it was to capture this particular stone's true beauty in photos...which I have confirmed to be true! I'm waiting to create a thread until the matching wedding band is done, which may be another few weeks!

@Phoenix, Holly looks gorgeous in her new dress! I know from pps that you have been thinking of haloing your diamond for a while...it looks fabulous on your hand! Victor's settings are beautifully done, those melee are exactly the right size. I'm excited for you and I hope you are loving this reset!!

Yes, indeed I have been wanting to reset Holly in a VC's halo for a looong time. Finally got round to doing it. The local jeweller did a pretty decent job. Victor was a dream to work with. He delivered exactly what I asked for and he knew instinctively how delicate I wanted the melee to be. This is Holly's permanent dress now.
