I wanted to share with you guys my collection of Thai Princess Rings.
These are a traditional design that is supposed to represent the pointed headdresses of Thai dancers.
They were brought back to the US from Thailand by servicemen in the 1940s-1960s as gifts.
The jade/ruby ring and opal/sapphire rings are from Ebay.
The sapphire ring was a gift, and the multi-stone ring is from an antique mall. They are all 14k.
Sometimes, the gold is not marked, so they are frequently mistaken for costume jewelry, and very often mislabeled as Victorian.
The bridge work is very interesting and complex, so I included a photo of the undersides.

Thanks, Tekate.
Some of my friends think they are big and gaudy, but I love them!
I'm always on the lookout for more to add to my collection.

Very cool rings. I can see the resemblance to the Thai headresses. I hope you find more to add to your collection! :)

I have one! I bought it in Thailand over 20 years ago. It is like your multigem one. It has tiny diamond accents . It has a high gold content-18k or 22k. I love it and no one knows what it is. I will try to get a photo.

Yes, Lambskin, a photo would be great! I hope your photo is better than mine.
My photos are blasted out by the flash. My photographer hubby would be horrified!
The colors are really much better in "real life".
