I wanted to share with you guys my collection of Thai Princess Rings.
These are a traditional design that is supposed to represent the pointed headdresses of Thai dancers.
They were brought back to the US from Thailand by servicemen in the 1940s-1960s as gifts.
The jade/ruby ring and opal/sapphire rings are from Ebay.
The sapphire ring was a gift, and the multi-stone ring is from an antique mall. They are all 14k.
Sometimes, the gold is not marked, so they are frequently mistaken for costume jewelry, and very often mislabeled as Victorian.
The bridge work is very interesting and complex, so I included a photo of the undersides.
