I'll admit I rather like the look (and price!) of the sapphire pear, but was worried it might be too dark...and am holding out for a cushion anyway.

I knew he was having a drop yesterday, so checked his page in the afternoon, but never got my email about his drop until sometime after midnight- although the email said 2:30pm. It's not the first time this has happened either. Can't figure out why there is such a lag. Anyone else have this issue?

I think it is the mailing list program he uses. Sometimes, the emails have to be sent in smaller batches.

I had a really weird experience with his website too -- I started checking early Thursday morning, since that's when he said the new items would post. Nothing. All day, nothing new. I even cleared all the cookies on my computer, thinking that it was reloading the old information...

Finally, this morning I checked his website on my ipad, and there was the new stuff! I don't know what was going on, but I couldn't see it until switching computers. Very frustrating. Of course everything I wanted is spoken for.

Got word that I made it in time for the Gem Silica. Bumming I didn't try for the Grandidierite - assumed it was out of my price range so didn't even check until I got home...hopefully a PSer got it? The moonstone looks cool...like having a gemmy pearl

Aww, that's sweet - he must be a parent who is using the age old "you did really well; you came in second!" approach to gem sales. No losers here, just a whole hecka lot of people who came in second.
