Talk me through trading in with Whiteflash

I'm waffling on what setting to do. I'm obviously a big bezel fan, but there's something about the traditionalness (is that a word? ) of prongs that also appeals to me. Plus, the prongs are half the cost of the bezels. Decisions, decisions....

I think if you want your recut diamonds to look bigger, a bezel will do that for you. I also think the bezel would match the style of your ER as well! :))

I think I'm gonna start a gofundme to raise funds to send me to BGD for them to make me super ideal cut!

Can you imagine? Well, yes there are plastic surgeons, but, this is more fun to imagine!:lol-2:

Considering you haven't had to spend further money on buying new diamond studs from scratch, I think you should try not to think about the cost of the setting and just go for the one that makes your heart sing the most.

Also, it sounds like these will not be something you think about upgrading for a long time if ever (correct me if I'm wrong) in part because you'll now have cracking diamonds that are also the same ones your husband got for you. Not only will that spread out the cost of the more expensive setting, it should again mean you should go for the setting you want. Don't settle! You've already gone to all this effort! :D

I do also agree with @m-2-b that a bezel will help make them look bigger. I know prongs are more delicate but milgraining would help with that.

Finally having said all that, I'm sure regardless of the setting these are going to be beautiful earrings!!! Good luck with your choice!

They do a nice bezel and I would ask for double milgrain bc they do nice milgrain!!!!!!!!!

My IDJ milgrain bezels - no regrets
My BGD milgrain bezels - no regrets
My IDJ lotus prong setting - meh. I felt guilty getting another milgrain bezel pair. I thought it'd be redundant. It isn't. I promise. If you like milgrain and bezels, you'll love them as studs.

Go for the bezel earrings if you want them. I love BG bezels, and just had earrings made in them. Mine aren’t milgrain, just plain, and I love the clean look on my ears without any prongs.

Always glad to enable others on their bling purchases!!! ;)) :appl:
