I would either
A) Send a very genuine thank you card with no hidden meaning but include Jack & Jills card
or
B) Send a very genuine thank you card, but the next time you need to send him a gift, slip the Jack & Jill card in with your gift

OK, I sent the thank you card, and I used the double meaning strategy. My dad thought it was the right balance between hilarious and tactful. After all, this guy is going to be my cousin for the rest of his life!

I love thinking about them opening it and going "Oh my... do you think she means? Naaaah, how could she know! But...?"

I also told my Grammy (his aunty) who thought it was hysterical. She''s not a gossip, though. So no luck there.
