Hi Girls! I have the 2620RDLGP engagement ring with a 1.62 center diamond. I just realized the Large Pave setting is supposed to be for center stone size 1.75-2.00. I have mentioned to my fiance when we did ring shopping that i wanted large size diamonds on my band (because the store display i tried on had large setting and it looked very pretty), so then he of course went and order it in large. I do love my ring very much, but i just don't know if by getting the large setting with a stone center smaller than 1.75 would make my ring look out of proportion or if it would make my center diamond look smaller than it is. What do you think? Thanks!

Don't worry. It looks perfect! and Tacori makes all their setting to fit each diamond individually so it should be proportionate to your stone.. Sizing is not by carat size, it's by the measurements in mm of the center diamond I think.

I would think Tacori would redirect you to the proper size. If the large is really geared toward stones 1.75 and up, I would expect them to be in touch with you before the stone is set.

It's a beautiful mounting though - should be sensational with your stone!

@ dreamingoftacori: Thanks! Actually the size of my stone should go with the Medium pave band which is 2mm wide. Mine is 2.4mm wide, i just didnt' know if the 0.2mm made a difference on the look of my ring.

@ MissGotRocks: Thanks! yes, Tacori did call the Jeweler where my fiance placed the order and verified whether or not we wanted the large setting. Of course i didn't know this, but my fiance told me afterward that the jeweler did call him and double checked with him whether he wanted the large setting and he said yes. I guess Tacori made the ring to order, it really depends on the client's preference.
i don't think it's a beautiful mounting too :)

I never get tired of seeing that ring! I love it. I think the setting looks beautiful on you! Congratulations!

Thank you so much! i love seeing it too. :)

I think it will look beautiful. I personally like a ring that is closer to 2.5 vs. 2mm. It's every so slightly sturdier and blingier IMO :))

Wow, how could it be any more perfect?! I wouldn't change a thing!

@ diamondseeker2006: thank you!

I love it...think of it as different I a VERY good way!! Custom blingy :appl:

I'm sure it will be beautiful - please come back and show us when finished!

Those are the pictures of my actual ring. :)

I don't think it looks 'out of proportion' at all...it is a beautiful ring!

I LOVE this!!!! So pretty, what size ring is this? I'm hoping to try on the same setting next weekend but have been obsessing. I think I'm a size 7, thanks!

That looks beautiful! I like the 2620 because the halo is so delicate and I don't think it looks too large for your stone.

Good point! I love the setting but worry the band will be too thin on my finger. I guess I'll just have to be patient and wait until Saturday when I get to see it IRL. I'll definitely be stalking PS in the meantime!
