Ta-Da! MY NEW DECAGON STUDS ARE ALMOST READY!!

Hi All,

It's been a couple of months, but JP finally got my decagon studs grown, cut and graded. Below are the two GCal grading reports. I think they are stunning! I will be seeing them on Wednesday night through a zoom call, and then they will be shipped.

In all my lurking on PS, I've never seen an IF lab diamond, but here is one!

I will take loads of photos once received and also still waiting for my EC 3 stone ring. I ended up going a bit larger because JP said the could make the stone larger based on its growth, so now it will be 3.8ct. When it comes in we will decide on the 2 side EC's. The main stone is now out for grading so will probably be another month.

So, I had a zoom call with my SR, Avery, and got to see my decagon studs as well as the 2 side emeralds for my 3 stone anniversary ring. OMG. The flashes and fire were AMAZING. It was like a carnival. Of course, they have different flashes, but wow.
The decagons are just sparkle bombs, even from a distance and the EC's had beautiful rolling flashes. I can't wait to receive them. Decagons should be set in a couple of weeks and the she will ship them out.
 
Amazing! When did you originally place your deposit for them?

Thank you all! I can't wait to see them either. I was blown away on the zoom call. And she showed them in every kind of light. The fire was unbelievable. I'll let you know when they are on their way. Getting set now.
 
Beautiful stones! Did you request HPHT or no preference?

You mentioned that you made your deposit in May but you began your journey in early March. May I ask if your pricing was based on the early 2023 price schedule or the current one (pricing reduced by about 13%)?

Did they really source, cut and grade your stones in just over 5 weeks? That seems quite fast considering they seem to be telling folks there is a 5-6 month wait from deposit to arrival.

I didn’t request, but the decagon are HPHT. The main EC is CVD. The pricing was based on the 2023 pricing, but now I’ll ask about the current pricing.

I don’t know if they had the growth process started on a few diamonds. I would think they’d be growing all the time to keep up with demand. But she told me around July, so that is what it will be. The SR contacted me a few weeks ago about the EC. She said it could be larger and asked if I wanted them to stop the growth or for $1000 more I got another .6ct. So I went with the bigger one. I first had her show me a EG diamond that she had at that size with a little larger side diamonds and I liked it on her hand so that was the deciding factor. I was surprised that the EC was done already and out for grading. I think they tell you the furthest date to be covered and if there would be any delay, customers wouldn’t be asking all the time.

Well, FedEx said they’ll be delivered tomorrow. That would be 3 days from Singapore. I find that hard to believe, but hey, you never know!

THEY’RE HERE!! I am thrilled. They are gorgeous and just the right size to dress up or down.
They are both 1.79 D IF and VVS1. It’s frustrating I can’t capture the fire and sparkle with my phone. But they are fire bombs. I’ll post videos later. IMG_3235.jpeg

So pretty! I love how the decagon shape combines with the prongs to give a subtle ruffled look at the edges.
