Kaleigh, I was sooo hoping that it would be Steelers vs. Eagles

but the Cardinals are pretty cool too. To be honest, football is my honey's thing and I just am hoping for an exciting and close game

Ok, Ok, guess I'll have to post my Superbowl Ring pics even though they are out of focus [cell phone pics!]. Gotta go to my other computer . . .

One friend of mine [whose Superbowl Ring I have the pic of] was playing for the Colts when they won Superbowl V [1971 for the 1970 season]. The funny thing is that we both have another friend who played for the Cowboys the same year! They lost the Superbowl 16-13 [it says so on the ring]. LOL!

I went to the same college as Kurt Warner (University of Northern Iowa) and he grew up in Cedar Rapids (where I currently live).

(and my SO is rooting for the Steelers, so I automatically cheer for the other team)

Well, as I recall [I wish I had checked out the pics before I let him leave! I''ll be seeing him again pretty soon so I''ll see about getting better pics.] the thing is enormous and weighs a ton. My RB is almost 7 carats and is about 12mm''s across - so that will give you a frame of reference.

The SB ring is yellow gold [don''t remember the karat] and has the name of the player, the position played, the score, jersey number and I can''t remember what else cast into it on each side [looks like they did a separate cast for each]. It is pretty worn since Jack wears it on a daily basis! The top is very cool. The horseshoe,which is inlaid on the top of the ring [set with damonds] is set on a flat blue sapphire. In the center of the horseshoe is a bezel set 1 carat white diamond. [Don''t know the specs since I didn''t have my loupe! LOL!]. Very cool.

I loved how he just stood there taking it all in after the win. We need more celebs like Troy Polamalu. Modest, thankful, respectful, and giving....

I just wish they did not forget to complement/thank the opposing team on the podium....
