HI:

Annual thread--hope ya'll participate! :wavey:

Going to see the Avengers today--a matinee. I also look forward to the Minions as well as Jurassic Park and possibly Vacation.

What movies are on your Spring--Summer list???

cheers--Sharon

I am really excited for the new pixar movie, Inside Out. :D

I'm really looking forward to Jurassic Park. If Chris Pratt gets eaten by dinosaurs though I'm gonna be SO MAD.

I saw Avengers - I really liked the Maximoff twins and their story, which is interesting because I didn't expect to based on the previews. I thought a lot of it was funny, but did have issues, both with a couple of the storylines and just the general unwieldiness of the whole thing.

I imagine there are other movies this summer I want to see but mainly I'm focused on waiting for Star Wars and getting ready to torch Disney/Lucasfilm/George Lucas if Han and Leia aren't married and doing awesome stuff.

In no particular order

Star Wars
Mad Max
Jurassic World
Spectre

DK :))

We saw Avengers and loved it.

Can't wait to see Star Wars, but that won't be until Christmas.

Jurassic Park is another one I am definitely looking forward to.

Pixar movies always make me cry, but I'm still going. :-)

I guess technically it's a spring blockbuster, but I'm looking forward to seeing Fast and Furious 7. I've only seen one other movie in that franchise - F&F 6 - and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Loved the Avenger movie. But I had one quibble (not a spoiler): I didn't understand where the blue AI matrix came from. The origin wasn't explained very well. Otherwise I thought it was great.

Other movies I am looking forward to:
Ant Man
Minions
Mission Impossible
Fantastic Four

And of course Star Wars in the winter.

We'll also probably watch Jurassic World and Terminator Genisys and possibly The Man from UNCLE.

HI:

Avengers did not disappoint. Or perhaps 15 minutes too long. The theatres were PACKED on Mothers Day! People could not sit together as seats were sold out!! Didn't see that one coming.

At ay rate, Gypsy reminded me of Mission Impossible and Terminator. Those are also on my list b/c I am sentimental! lol

cheers--Sharon

I enjoyed the new Avengers movie, but agree that it was a bit too long. I am looking forward to seeing Tomorrowland and Jurassic World.

I am really bad at remembering movies so this thread is reminding me of so many I want to see - F&F7, Tomorrowland, Terminator, and Fantastic Four! I am just so bad at keeping track of things like that - if it's not written down, it falls right out of my head.

I have nothing on my list for summer, waiting patiently for Hunger Games/mocking jay pt 2 :)

I'm really excited to see both Mad Max and Jurassic Park!

Thank god I have middle school girls so I can see Pitch Perfect 2 and Cinderella

I've seen all the past Mad Max's--this one might require my big girl panties! Saw a clip of it on Jimmy Fallon last night--ultra violent. I think it has an R rating!

cheers--Sharon

Mad Max was EXCELLENT! It was extremely intense and kind of crazy, but cool, too. I left feeling like I had ridden on a roller coaster for two hours.

I saw this today and it is the best movie I have seen in a very long time. It is an adrenaline rush from start to finish! I want to see it again.

First thought I had after seeing Mad Max was, "when can we see this again!" We're going again next weekend.

Plus one! I really enjoyed it!

We've seen jurassic park and avengers- both really great!

Saw Jurassic World in IMAX 3D, it was the best movie I've seen in a long time.

Avengers-too long, I about fell asleep(although, I am overworked and tired to begin with)

Mad Max-should have been called Furiouso instead. It wasn't really about Max.

Fast & Furious 7, love a good fast car driving movie, made me tear up at the end.

Looking forward to Minions and Terminator. My kids saw Insidious 3 and Pitch Perfect 2 and gave those both thumbs up.

HI:

Whoa. Mad Max. I as a little freaked out, but what a ride! Enjoyed by all.

cheers--Sharon

We took the kids to Jurassic World Sunday night and enjoyed it. Had no desire to see Mad Max even tho JD practically begged me, but there's been enough positives here so far maybe I better reconsider.

I want to see Spy.

And Jaws is rereleased this summer to select theaters b/c it's the 40th anniversary. Sadly I think we're too far out in the boonies to get it. I've seen it 20+ times already but man to see it on a huge screen...

Update:
Watched Jurassic World in 3D. I'd give it a solid B. Without giving away any spoilers, the problems were: a) Chris Pratt and Omar Sy were the only humans smarter than the dinosaurs b) ridiculous footware c) Bryce Howard's hair was a character on its own and competed with her for lead actress. The highpoints were: a) inevitable Monster battle b) the indomitable Blue and c) Chris Pratt gave Hugh Jackman a run for bad assery.

Looking forward to the rest of the movie season.
