Suggestions on similar ring style

I've only see pictures online. I am in Connecticut and the ring currently lives in Texas. I requested that they send me more candid photos though (near a window etc) so I can see some that don't look that professionally staged. That's the problem...i'd have to order it so I have no idea what it really looks like and if she really is going to love it in person. It would be a gamble...

Oh, and what's the return policy? If you can send it back if you hate it, then give it a try. If not, well, see my post above, I'd pass on it.

I love the idea of an antique replica ring! I would encourage you to do that instead of getting an intact estate ring, especially if you haven't seen it in person. If you can show the picture to a jewler that makes custom designs, then they can replicate it and you can get a better quality stone. But, I'm not sure if that would break the bank.

No returns on items marked down below 50% since they are going out of business. Purchasing a ring I had never seen in person and no returns offered just wasn't something I was going to do. I actually completely lucked out because today, while looking around at antique stores in my area, I came across something very similar and really wasn't a fan of it in person. So I passed.

Stumbled across the perfect ring today at a local antique shop. It's perfect and officially purchased! I will post pictures after the proposal is complete. Milton, I don't think I can thank you enough for all of your suggestions and research. I feel like you really helped guide me along and offered great suggestions, that ultimately helped me decide on the perfect setting and stone. I felt completely lost in the beginning and now I know exactly what I wanted to get her. Thanks to everyone else that also helped in this process. I can't tell you how excited I am. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am telling everyone I know about this forum/site.

Decided on a .88carat H stone. Smaller than I had originally intended but worth it for the quality over the J-K stones. The setting has enough going on that the size of the center diamond really is just perfect. Will post pictures soon. Thanks again everyone!

I'm excited to see it!
