My mom just moved to Tennessee and will be all alone on Christmas. I sent her a package on Saturday morning and the tracking says it was delivered yesterday and was left on her front porch. But she hasn't gotten it or seen it and has been watching out for it. I am pretty sure someone stole it. It sucks because I am pretty sure she isn't getting anything from anybody for Christmas. She lives in a really bad area and has even got her garbage can stolen. And the previous renter in the house she is living in got raped in the same house before my mom moved in. I am so regretting not putting signature confirmation on the package. Why do people have to be such jerks?
I am always worrying about her and I wanted her to at least have one thing to be happy about on Christmas. I guess it's a lesson learned :nono:

I am so very sorry to hear that! :(( I am sure I would be worried, too, if I felt my mom (or any family member) was living alone in an unsafe area. I hope you'll at least be able to talk to her tomorrow as I am sure that will mean a lot to her! I am so sorry this happened, though. I hope things get better for your mom. {{{hugs}}}

I'm so sorry to hear that your present to your mother was stolen. What a disappointment for you both!

If your mother has a way to get to the nearby post offices, she can file form that will prevent the post office from leaving packages on her porch - the delivery person will either have to hand it over to her, or leave a notice for her to pick it up at the post office. I did this after a few packages had disappeared from my porch, many years ago, and it's worked like a charm. Just be aware that the parcel pick-up location might not be the post office nearest her house.

I am really sorry that this happened. There are so many bad people out there in the world.

Did you send via USPS? If so, their tracking system sucks.
Does your mom use a computer? If so, she can sign up for UPS and Fed Ex and
will be notified a day early that a package should be delivered the next day if those carriers are used.

Hubby and I volunteer at the local Police Department doing crime analysis. I read a case this morning (Christmas Day)
about a lady whose vehicle was broken into via a smash and grab, and all of her wrapped
gifts including multiple gift cards were all stolen. People can be so low at times.

Again, so sorry that this happened.

I am so sorry this happened. I hope it was delivered to the wrong house and someone delivers it to her.

Doesn't that stink!

livianne, It's possible the package was delivered to the wrong house. We had a very large box delivered to our home yesterday afternoon that belonged to our neighbor. I hope who ever has it brings it back to your mom.
