This may be a bit hard to follow but we had two different table layouts in three different colors. Each table was either a "candle" table or a "tree" table as well as either a red, orange or gold table. I had to get really specific in organizing all of the supplies since I wasn't actually there to set up but the system I came up with worked really well. Each table had a box. Each box had a packing list and a photo depicting how the table should look. Everyone did an amazing job following the directions I had set out and I was really relieved to find that the decorations fit the space really well.

The mantle that my new sister-in-law did a great job decorating. The best man helped her decorate and somehow managed to break one of the chairs that we were supposed to use at our sweetheart table so the day of coordinator had two nice chairs from the honeymoon suite dragged downstairs for us to use.

And the wedding invitations I never remembered to post :) These were printed on an iridescent paper and we found something similiar at Michaels which we then used for the additional info booklet and later for the wedding programs. We got a ton of compliments on all of it.

This is a close up of the table numbers that Nate helped me make using real pressed leaves.

Pricescope wouldn''t be pricescope without some bling ;)

And I''m spent!

Thanks for looking :D

It seems like just yesterday that you were posting about your engagement and now you''re MARRIED!

Everything looked just beautiful. That was really smart about the place cards with the leaf punch outs.

And on a more personal note. I''m really glad to see how fantastic you looked in your dress. I''ve always worried that it didn''t photograph as beautifully as it looked in real life. However you proved me wrong! Just lovely.

Heidi - your wedding looked so fabulous! I love the creativity you put into it - especially having different "scenes" for each table - what a great idea! The view was breathtaking and you looked simply amazing - glowing!

Do you mind if I ask how you made the small booklet you paired with your invites? I am hoping to be able to do something similar...

Everything looks like it was amazing! Where is the mansion again? Hudson Valley? I forget and I know I''ve seen the pics before but can''t recall. I hope my wedding is just as beautiful next year. We are getting married in the Catskills.
The mansion is actually on a bluff overlooking Keuka Lake in the Finger Lakes region. It''s about 35 minutes from where I grew up and yet I never even knew about all of the wineries and amazing views until just a couple of years ago.

Oh I doubt you can have a bad wedding in the Catskills! It''s really nice when Mother Nature does such a fantastic job of decorating the outside leaving you to only have to worry about the inside ;) hehe

You and me both. We had been dating for 7 years, 7 weeks and 7 days when we finally got married! Sounds like luck to me. ;)

I''m so glad that I can actually say that all of my years as a "lady in waiting" finally paid off. There were so many arguments over the years when Nate just wasn''t ready and I felt like I couldn''t hold on any longer but right now I am thrilled that I trusted in our relationship enough to give him the time he needed to come around. By the time he proposed, his doubt was totally gone and he was on board 100%. To see him actually excited about the wedding and being married to me after all of that struggle just made me melt. I think all the work made it that much sweeter :)

Thanks! :)

The ring shot I just had to take a couple of days after the wedding because I didn''t actually see the photogs take any (although I do now remember them borrowing my rings, so there may be something good to come) and the leaves were just ridiculously gorgeous. Every time I walked through my parent''s yard, I couldn''t make it more than a couple of feet without bending down to pick up some pretty leaf that I had found hehe They made an awesome background for all of that bling ;)

And seriously, I cannot get over seeing that wedding band on Nate''s finger!

hehe I thought the details would be the death of me but I think they really just made everything feel very put together. For a type A like myself, keeping everything organized and coordinated was actually a really fun challenge ;) hehe Nate didn''t quite feel the same :P

The mansion was the perfect backdrop for our wedding. The day of coordinator was quick to let us know that the mansion was our home for the weekend and she wasn''t lying. Our families rented out every room in the place for the night of the wedding, and over half of the rooms the night before so we really did kind of own it. It had a great sense of history but also a warm homeiness that made it a very comfortable choice. It''s just the kind of mansion I''d like to live in some day heheh ;) ;)

Gorgeous pics Heidi!

Congrats on your wedding!
Thank you so much :) A lot of the photos were actually taken by my 11 year old nephew if you can believe it! I can''t wait to see the pro pics since these have turned out so nicely. No doubt my photogs have noticed me stalking their blog heheh but they haven''t yet succumbed to the pressure.

Happy barely begins to describe it :) Nate''s best man pulled me aside at one point during the wedding to tell me that I looked the happiest he''s ever seen and it was really true. I really hope we can make this feeling last :D

Thank you for the congrats.

First off, I have to love you because you have great taste in wedding dresses ;) and second you share the same name as my maid of honor so you''re alright in my book ;)

I''m so relieved you think the dress looks ok because there was a lot of stress up until the end to get the alterations right. I had ordered my dress last November in the size I was wearing then and over the months I lost about 15 lbs so it didn''t fit quite the same anymore. I found someone in Austin to do alterations for me and I had to make a lot of visits to her and yet each time the dress just wasn''t quite right. Eventually there was no more time left for her to make any more changes so we altered our wedding trip to include a drive across NY so that Nate''s mom could try to fix the alterations for me. In the end she undid a lot of the first seamstress'' work and only had time to do a few easy alterations so the dress was a bit looser than I had wanted and I was dreading seeing the pictures of myself in it.

Somehow, the dress seems to have photographed really well though. I got a TON of compliments from wedding guests, many of whom wanted to touch the dress for some reason hehe and I took some photos into work yesterday and had a lot of coworkers comment on how beautiful the dress was (and yes, even a guy noticied hehe) so I think perhaps I was just being a bit paranoid and hard on myself.

There''s no doubt you will seriously rock that dress when your big day comes!!

Thank you for that. I wasn''t as skinny as I wanted to be. My hair wasn''t as long or as blonde as I''d always imagined hehe but I certainly couldn''t have been happier and I think that''s the most important part. (Although being called gorgeous is certainly nice! heheh)

Best wishes and congrats!

Fall is my favorite season in NY and I miss it so much that I couldn''t pass up the opportunity to celebrate fall in all its glory hehe There were 3 weddings at the mansion that particular weekend and we all took advantage of the fall theme so it wasn''t the most original of themes, but it was a lot of fun to execute :D

Thanks :)

Heidi - your wedding looked so fabulous! I love the creativity you put into it - especially having different ''scenes'' for each table - what a great idea! The view was breathtaking and you looked simply amazing - glowing!

Do you mind if I ask how you made the small booklet you paired with your invites? I am hoping to be able to do something similar...
hehe The different scenes for each table seemed like a great idea until I started thinking about the logistics and realized I would be making other people do all of the dirty work for me and that I wouldn''t be there to supervise. There was a point when I kind of felt like I was overcomplicating things and that I should have just picked one centerpiece and stuck with it but once everything was all up in the room together, I really no longer cared about the extra work required to make each table different hehe Having a box for each table with all of the corresponding contents and a photo seemed to make it pretty easy for anyone to walk up to a table and begin setup so I was relieved not to hear any complaints about my fussy centerpieces eheh They looked really nice together, and more importantly they were very cheap ;) hehe

The invitation booklets were a big hit and not all that difficult to do. The first thing we had to do was search the Internet for the fonts that were used on our invitations and we were lucky enough to find them on a font website for free. We took one of our invitations to Michaels and found a paper that matched and started clearing each and every Michaels out of their stashes. Nate also scanned in one of our RSVP cards so we could use the small leaves for the front of the invitation booklets. We bought a long armed stapler and a really nice paper cutter (50% off one item with a Michaels coupon) and we set off to work. Nate did all of the layout in powerpoint since it was easiest to print from and I wrote up all of the content. He printed two covers per page and cut them in half on the paper cutter. Then he printed all of the insides out on a heavy resume paper before cutting those in half. We arranged the insides into the cover and using our long armed stapler put two staples in the center to hold them together. As a bit of a finishing touch we cut some fancy textured paper into strips and used a handheld xyron machine to attach the paper to the outside cover, hiding the staples.

If you have more questions about the booklets, or want to see more photos, just let me know and I''ll start a new thread that is a bit more detailed. The booklets took a bit of time but they blended so effortlessly and gave our guests all the info we felt that they needed, so they were well worth the investment.

Thanks mimzy. The colors were a lot of fun to work with. I still find myself drawn to Autumn decorations at the stores so apparently I''ve not yet shifted out of wedding planning mode ;) hehe
