Hello,
Will wearing a sterling silver spacer band in between my white gold engagement ring and white gold shared prong anniversary ring damage either the white gold or the diamond girdles on the anniversary band?
Thanks!

No, but it might eat up the sterling. The white gold won''t hurt it, but if you have any diamonds on the side, those will eventually wear into the spacer.

Thanks MonkeyPie! I am not at all concerned about the sterling....I''m more concerned about protecting my e-ring prongs from being worn down or scratched by the exposed girdles of the anniversary band. So, do you think it is safe for my other rings to wear a sterling spacer, or would it be best to purchase a white gold spacer?

I read the opposite on another thread in a search of my own earlier this year:

"Silver and gold are in the same group of metals, and silver chops through gold very quickly"

See thread
https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/is-it-safe-to-have-palladium-band-next-to-platinum-rings.69942/
about halfway down the page.

ETA: I would definitely go with gold. A couple of options:
1mm wire (excellent communication) http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=24900412
1mm (other people have had good luck with them) http://www.gemsofgold.com/jdcj040.html
