I''m so excited to share a few of the pro photos of our 4/30 wedding. Our photographer, Kristen of Kristen Leigh Photography did an amazing job, I would definitely recommend her to anyone in the MD/VA/DC area.
Jewelry details. The bracelet was my grandmother''s, the pearl ring is DH''s mother''s, the hankie was my great-aunt''s, and the earrings were $4 at Boscov''s. I actually never wore the DIY hair flower!
During the ceremony we closed up our "open in case of emergency box." We wrote love letters to one another and put them in this box, along with a bottle of wine and two glasses. During the ceremony, our parents added letters they had written in support of our marriage. The idea is if we ever get to a point where we feel like our marriage is struggling, we take an evening to read the letters and drink the wine, to remember why we chose to marry one another. If we''re lucky enough to not have any of those crisis moments in the first 10 years, we''ll open it on our anniversary and then seal it up again for another 10 years. My uncle made the box. We only gave him very basic instructions and he provided this amazing work of art.
Dammit Steph... I''m crying AGAIN looking at your wedding pictures. Whats this? Like the third time? So grateful that I got to see this up close and personal. Your wedding kicked ass.
After spending most of our cocktail hour wrangling our familes into some formal shots, we only had a few minutes to run around and get some shots of just the two of us. Kristen definitely made the most of that time though!
We headed into dinner and were treated to wonderful, funny, and thoughful toasts from my dad, the best man, and the maid of honor. Here we are cracking up during the best man''s speech.
