Hi all,
Unfortunately I will be going through a big temporary change in lifestyle in the upcoming months as I will be returning to university and moving to a new country. Fiancé, dog and e-ring will stay behind in our home. It is very much bittersweet. To be honest mostly bitter at the moment but hopefully I'll hit the sweet part once the move is over and the lectures are in full swing.
Anyways, I told my fiancé about leaving my rings here and first he was tad offended before realizing that it's probably for the best. I told him I'd still wear a ring, either an inexpensive old ring that I have or buy a new one myself. If I were to acquire a new "placeholder ring", I would want it to have a center CS that is durable and ideally semi-precious. However, as my studies are going to cost me $$$$ worth of a small house, I'd only buy one if I found one for max 100-200 $.
For this I checked out a seller who has had some bargains before. I found a few that I like but I have no idea what the stones are and if these might be something worth buying. What do you think? Just save the money and use a simple gold band instead, acquire one of these OR keep looking?
1) Most interesting ring. 18k. Seller says it's from the 1920's. The blue color of the stone though looks quite artificial to me and not sure if it's quite me.
2) Ring that looks mostly my style but the stone looks meh and dead. Seller says 14k and tiny tiny diamonds on the sides.
3) The stone that I like the most, but more expensive (above the 200 limit) as it's from a rather well known local designer. Also, the ring itself is not exactly me but it still somehow speaks to me. 14k.
