Spess garnet station necklace and studs

During Covid I went through a spate of impulse buying random stones - not expensive stuff necessarily but just random, and parcels. I was very bored in lockdown!

At that time I managed to buy a parcel of spess garnet cabochons from an Instagram vendor. I have a particular weakness for cabs for some reason - and also for rarer stones and I didn’t have any spess garnets. But when they came I then had no clue what to do with them.

Finally I decided to have them set, which was a much more expensive process than I had anticipated as they are all random sizes so every bezel had to be separately hand made and the price of gold is so crazy right now.

I probably spent way more than the damn things deserved but here is the final end result. Station necklace and matching studs.

If you like it and will wear it then it is worth spending the money. And modest stones fit in with any outfit. Lovely piece.
