Sorry - another "painting/digging" question

If an expert is so inclined, an opinion would be most welcome!

I consider myself relatively intelligent, and have tried to educate myself as much as possible in order to make a good decision, but geometry was never my best subject. I have read every thread I can find on painting and digging so as not to annoy with the dreaded redundant question... :saint: .All that being said, in the real world it is a bit confusing.

Due to a trade up policy, I have limited myself to a vendor who has been able to bring in stones from within their database. Of several stones that were brought into the store, this is the one I have honed in on. I have seen the stone, but I am losing my perspective, and need to "pull the trigger" soon.

It is AGS000 H VS2 .67
D - 61.5
T - 55.9
CA - 35.1
PA - 40.7

Is it possible to look at the stats and ASET image and determine if it is a keeper?

Thank you in advance for any feedback! :)

The ASET from the report is computer generated so it is not an actually ASET of the stone. However, it is an AGS0 and the numbers look good!

Thanks CRBL. I agree the numbers do look good. I think it's a wee bit on the steeper side, but I think it leans toward the "fire" range on HCA?

I'm just wondering if the painting and digging on this stone are enough to have any negative impact at all. I tried to compare it to Brian Gavin's chart, but I just don't really know exactly what I'm comparing and if it is necessarily negative.

From the very small image - The painting is fairly slight and will have the effect of making some of the crown facets a little shallower and there fore is a benefit with the slightly hiher crown angle.

Garry would you estimate about -4 degrees in that image?

Thank you Garry. I'm glad to hear it won't impact in a negative way. And if it is a benefit, all the better!

Rhino- what do you think is -4 likely to be good, bad or neutral in a stone with these proportions?

I appreciate hearing from the "big guns" on my "little" upgrade, especially not having the availabilty of very many good stones to compare in person and a salesman who, while very nice, knows even less than I do! ;)
