WOW. i never knew sites like this existed. So here is my story, after 4.5 years of dating BF finally said lets go ring shopping. The diamond is 1.7 F color, SI1. I originally chose a 2.0mm band then went back the next day since i thought the 2.0 was to small and tried it on with a 3.0mm that i found too big... Here are pictures of both side by side. after 4 trips to the store (Diamond District in NYC) I chose a 2.6 setting with kind of an X-Prong Cathedral setting, i dont have any good pics of the final ring, but here is one also. (the rings are all paired with their wedding band since i wanted to see what the final outcome would be after the wedding. ) Haven''t gotten the proposal or the ring

What i chose... these pics are not clear at all... but its 2.6mm band. the setting is actually quite high, i was turned off at first, but then loved it. (it looks like an X, kind of cathedral. will post good ones onces its official)

I love your ring and WB combo. Although the thinner 2mm width makes the center diamond pop more, I always worry about any potential durabilty issues. I am glad you pick some in-between width - 2.3mm, so the combo retains its dainty look but with some peace of mind.

Wonder if the melees go all the way around? I always wonder about damage possibility from wearing stacked diamond rings/bands with exposed girdles. Is your set free of problem? If not, do you plan to wear a thin (2mm) spacer ring?

The little diamons actually do not do all the way around. Dont know of any problems, since i havent worn it anywhere but at the store.
