Wow that is amazing, and even more so that you just can't get a bad picture, like a model, always camera ready! Looks great on you!

Very very much. Sadly I think there might be the beginning of a crack in the shank where it was resized, so I'll take it to a jeweler tomorrow. Want to be careful bc I would be heartbroken if I lost/broke it!

Amazing blue spinel: this is the color of dreams. Your pics came out so much better looking than what I remember from that LT listing last week. So excited this is yours and hope to see more pictures in the future :kiss2:.

I still can’t believe the luck of getting this exact stone. You have been talking about this color for a long time and it is so gorgeous even in ‘weird office lighting’. Yes, get that crack fixed as you don’t ever want to lose it. Looks great with those nails!

Oh no! Yes, you’ll wanna get that checked out ASAP. It’s absolutely gorgeous though. So very happy for you!! It seriously couldn’t have worked out more perfectly.

Bahhhhhh, the shank needs $250 of repairs. Very sad. The resizing by the second owner's jeweler wasn't done right, so its developed a crack. So they'll have to redo it. Sad, but even if I knew the ring would cost $250 extra in repairs I still would have insisted on buying it. Pics of the crack.

Jeweler's Goldsmith is out of town until later this month, so I'm not supposed to wear it other than at home or typing at a desk. Bah I'm so sad!

Sad!!! I’d have to send it off to another jeweler because I have absolutely zero patience. :lol-2:

If you had known about the crack would you have asked for a lower price? To me that is very apparent and if I was selling a piece of jewelry with a noticeable flaw I would disclose it.

Yes, but I wouldn't have known how much to offer. And honestly, if the seller had insisted on the asking price I still would have paid it. She said she got it resized by a local jeweler and my guess is that she just didn't realize that the quality of work wasn't that great. I'm going to email her about it, but honestly would't even know what to say. It's not her fault that the jeweler didn't do stuff totally right, and I'm sure the crack wasn't there when she got it back from the jeweler. It likely developed over time with stress of picking stuff up, etc.

haha right!? I don't want another jeweler to mess it up though. There's probably 1-2 choices I could ask, but I'm definitely staying away from all "maul" stores since they would just make it worse!

Gotcha, not trying to make you feel bad at all @lovedogs, if I was as in love with a ring as you were with this one then I would probably overlook a little hiccup like this. Writing to her though is a great idea, just so she knows not to bring her other jewelry to the same jeweler and have the same thing possibly happen.
