Somebody's Gotta Buy This Piece!

Thank you for sharing your experience! How did you find the seriousness of the inclusions in the diamonds? Were they still pretty, or are the inclusions quite distracting?

I actually didn't pay much attention because the emerald was unpleasing to my eyes. Also, the two larger stones are noticeably warmer than the melee (a pet peeve of mine). Btw, I'm no emerald expert-but this one looked watery to me.

Dolly just posted this Deco emerald and onyx inlay ring that I think is better value:

Yup, I thought I would be exempt. I bought a 150 year-old bracelet from the uk and had to pay ups a tariff fee:x2. I was hoping since it was over 100 years old that the tariffs wouldn’t apply, but they did.

I think it's hard to determine the age and the seller needs to testify that it's old and fight with dhl about it. I bought something from the UK and the seller had to write letter on letterhead and signed it that the diamonds are not mined in Russia.

Thank you!
Wow, I love the setting of the Onyx-framed emerald ring!

This Russian diamond thing happened to me also! It was a VCA holiday pendant that had a tiny diamond in the center and they had me fill out and sign a document that it was not of Russian origin. They allowed me to fill out the paperwork myself as the buyer/importer; but I just read online that as of April 2025, there is a new regulation that “importers must declare the country of mining for all diamonds” (not just specify that it is not from Russia).

For anyone in the UK, here are two sweet OEC 5 stone bands at nice price points:

It's good for the budget lol. What size do you "need"?

None, lol. I'm currently obsessing over setting my own stones so, in spite of <cough> recent acquisitions <cough>, I'm not looking for another band ATM.

Also, as I have pudgy fingers, the rare bands that come up in my size tend to be $$$.

You do not! I see so many in size 7 to 9 that are cheaper lol. I hear you, I have 5 projects to do.

I need to start a thread. I need help making decisions!! But you will be so proud of me - I nearly succumbed to a 2.4ct OEC, but managed to resist knowing I need to set at least one project before I do anything crazy like that. That, or someone bought it just before my resolve broke. But I'm going to choose to believe it was my perseverance and self control. :lol-2:

If anyone is curious about the TRR ring. Here are some photos from my SA. The emerald is very included (as described - but I am not an emerald person anyway, I would have replaced with another stone). The 2 main accent diamonds look better than I expected, and larger than I assumed. The side stones are not very sparkly, not surprising since some are included. An interesting ring but probably not a “need to have”.IMG_8601.jpegIMG_8602.jpegIMG_8603.jpegIMG_8604.jpegIMG_8605.jpegIMG_8179.png

The band is here. Idk-I think it's prettier in the picture. May be going back. But it was worth a try! Thanks @lala646 !

That's a bummer! I know they can't all be winners, but I always hope for the best for all of us!

I may have been too hasty...
