Hi all,

After pouring over threads of solitaire E-rings with eternities I could not come to a reasonable conclusion.

How closely does the width/height of an eternity have to match a solitaire R-ring. The solitaire E-ring is roughly 2mm. Does anyone have a preference for exact match?

The look that we were trying to achieve was the classic Tiffany style you see with their classic Tiffany setting with an eternity.

The diamond is a 1ct in the solitaire roughly 2mm top width.

Any opinions, pictures and thoughts are gladly welcomed!

Regards,

Width-wise, they don't have to be exact, but I prefer them to be fairly close in width. And for me, I think it looks best if they are the same height or the wedding band is lower. I don't really like the look of the band extending higher than the ering setting. There might also be a chance that the diamonds will damage the prongs of the ering if the band comes up too high. JMO!

I prefer the band to be the same or thinner than the e-ring band when worn together.
I'm not sure why.
I also like when the e-ring is worn on one hand and multiple bands are stacked on the other.....I do think it's a good idea to try a lot of bands on with whatever you plan to wear it with.....I think it's easy to fall in love with a band that just doesn't work for you because of comfort or how it actually pairs with your rings.

Thank you all so far for the replies. Due to the 2mm E-ring I think I am limited on the size of eternity point diamonds. I was thinking maybe 5/6 point set very low? I saw the BGD eternity is low set, but I think it is roughly 2.5mm, but I think its height is lower than many of their solitaires. So that might be a good option. (?)
